Worst decoy runner in the history of the game.

However for the sake of his young family it would be good if he got it together and made a fist out of his career

When he played for us, I swear he looked like he was running decoys all the time but on closer inspection he just didn't know where to be and when to run and as time wore on he actually got worse.

He's been up to his old tricks and subsequently dropped to the State Cup again. In the Telecrap:

PENRITH fans weren't alone in wondering where boom buy Daine Laurie had gone after a lone NRL appearance against the Warriors three weeks ago.

Club officials were wondering the same thing when the dreadlocked forward missed training after his Panthers debut - and not for the first time this season.

We've been told Laurie had a personal issue to resolve on the North Coast and, although his agent Chris Haddad notified the club, he was dropped to NSW Cup for missing the session.

To his credit, Laurie was one of the Wolves' best last Saturday night.

Am more confident of Balmain beating Windsor with him in their side.

I would tip Jason Schirnack will smash him once and than Daine will be MIA

ONE-TIME NRL cult figure Daine Laurie has been sent for a stint in French rugby league after failing to make an impression with the Panthers this season.

Identified as a raw talent by Wests Tigers in 2009, Laurie has at times struggled with his off-field behaviour and has yet to live up to his potential.

The Panthers reckon a stint in the local French competition might sharpen him up for next season. He took off yesterday.

This made me giggle… Poor Dane, the world at his feet and seemingly in a rush to waste it.

Were there any here that were angry at coach Sheens when we let him go???

Decision vindicated

He will probably end up getting deported or pulling the pin before his stint is up. Perseverance is not a concept he is familiar with.

You have to get into a country before being deported.

I thought he had a record and as such, would have issues getting a visa.

French Visa isn't that big an issue. I mean they harbored Polanski for years. England is another issue

That is the UK re: visas for convicted crims! France have allowed in the likes of Greg Bird (when charges were pending) Matt Henjack (when charges were pending) and John Elias after his several jail stints!

As for Daine - did you see how fat he's got around the guts??

Penrith were claiming in the off-season that he was training like a champion - but he has looked 10kgs overweight all-season (I know he missed a fair few weeks with a toe injury at the start of the season - but that should not justify the weight he has put on)!

He was always a lazy - unfit piece of crap - but now he can add fat to that list!

Anyone who said he had the world at his feet ignore the glaring problems in his game! He cannot read play to save his life - he has shocking hands (see last year's game v Melbourne) - he is an appalling lateral defender and is slow & lazy at thr ruck!! He had and still has very little going for him aside from size and presence!

Guys

" sent for a stint in French rugby league" not the Super league from what I'm reading.

This is not even outside France…

He still needs a work visa to play 2nd division in France - it is clearly not SL as their season ended a few weeks ago! He will only get fatter in France!

Good work to Matty Elliot - he is a s deadset flip!!

Didn't Greg Bird only play home games for Le Catalans cause he couldn't get in to England?

Au Revior Daine..

greg bird played both home and away games last year for catalans so i dont know how that works

You don't need a UK work visa to represent an external team playing inside the UK as he is not employed by/or earning income from a UK-based entity.

There were no other impendiments to him entering the UK to play during that period!

Terry Hill went on a Kangaroo Tour with assault charges hanging over his head!!!

For example - while Gareth & Flanno need Australian work visas to play with the Tigers - the GB team do not need such visas to compete in the 4 Nations!

Daine Laurie has been sent for a stint in French rugby league

They make it sound like some sort of punishment
