Straight swap them, Moors for Laurie. Though Moors was probably much cheaper and understands the basic fundamentals of football.. but lacking the raw aggression of Daine.

maybe, but i'd rather have a player with his head screwed and knowing the fundametals than daine - dropping the ball stone cold and costing us the game. not comitting to training. i guess we'll just have to wait and see nxt year…

GOod Luck to Laurie, loved his aggression on the field, but his demeanour of it has to be worked on. About time we have official confirmation about Flanagan, looks like he'll replace Morris looking at the positions he can play and Moors is a big young second row/prop whom can blossom, especially after playing little footy after the broken ankle… things are starting to shape up now :sign:

Moors is about where BRONSON HARRISON was THREE YEARS AGO. If he puts his head down, he could be Bronson one day.

Wait a moment…didn't we relase Bronson? :unamused: Our recruitment is VERYpuzzling sometimes.

Let me help you, ther eis probably close to $ 200K difference in price, is that less puzzling?

Actually to be honest when I heard it was Penrith I was relieved. I was worried that he would go to a club that might develop him into something that could return to bite us. Not as worried now.

Its a shame about Laurie, he looked like such an exciting prospect for us, its a shame he didn't have the discipline or ticker to see his way through the tough stuff that is required in order to become a genuine first grader. Good luck to him I hope he can pull himself out of the hole and turn his life around for the sake of his family and himself.
Norm.

I don't like to wish bad upon others and i won't but considering this club gave him the chance to turn his life around and he's repaid it with childish whinging to play first grade despite the side performing well and winning…

So what's he do?

Instead of tackling it head on and proving himself he seeks an early release and goes elsewhere...

Good riddance blokes like this are like cancers...

What a shame :frowning: I suppose we gave him enough chances so really we didn't have a choice
What surprises me is that the tigers knew that he came with bagage & im probably wrong but maybe more attention should have been directed his way. From someone outside looking in, it seemed like he never fit in with the group
Oh well another one bites the dust.Good luck at the panthers Daine

Channel 10 news had him resigning with Wests Tigers in their ticker message down the bottom. I wasn't sure whether to be happy or not. Then I get to work and see in the Telegraph that he had signed with Penrith. Still not sure whether to be happy or not.

My thoughts exactly!!!
He will be no better going to Penrith than if he stayed with us. His manager knows that with the contract that Laurie was currently on and the press that he was getting (before the assualt), he should of been on a higher contract.
Tigers have stuck by their guns and refused the up-grade, Daine and manager have spat the dummy and started shopping around.
This was always going to happen but I suppose his assualt charge is what has stopped him going to a bigger club like Melbourne (who were interested at the time- would of been a good swap- Lauire for Lima).

Good Luck Daine…Look forward to when we play Penrith in 2010...He'll run all over the top of us...but we'll run right through him....!! I'm sure.

You could have added the problem he had of turning his back on the action and slowly wondering back into the defensive position, as though he had no problem in the world. While I thought we had a possible future champion forwar at the start, I feel he let the club AND HIS FAMILY AND SELF down in the long run. Good luck, Daine, I think you will need it to succeed.

Panthers fans seem to view him as a starting prop for next year.

Which begs the question. Who has been messing with their drinking supply?

The funniest one was the guy who made the comment that Laurie's Defence would be an asset to the team 😕 😕

The thought crossed my mind last night, hypothetically- - if you were Lauries father or someone close who cared for him, who would you want to try & keep him on the straight & narrow, Sheens or Elliott?

I don't know… I've seen posts on here with Junior Moors as our starting lock. I'd imagine Penrith fans think that's pretty funny as well.

I can hear the Panthers fans cheering from here….. two 5 minute wonders in the same pack....him and Pritchard will form a great combination, hiding out in the backline

Not a great loss in my opinion. Has a stack of potential but I have heard that said about um…..gee I dunno about a thousand players.
