Dale Copley

Well the Broncos will need to get rid of an outside back.
You can bet Daaaahrius will be heading north with Bennett.

Yes, that will make an interesting selection issue for Bennett with three fullbacks to choose from ( Barba, Milford and Boyd)!

4 with Hoffman.

Copley has been impressive this year.
I had no idea he was this good, and still so young, looks a future rep player to me.

Obviously Id love to have him here.

Getting him here is the problem, as you say if we make a decent offer, you never know.

Copley was 19th man for Queensland in game 3 this year. He's a future back-rower as he fills out. There is no way the Broncos will let him go.

Dale is a great kid. He is very actively involved in junior development & gives up his time to help junior programs. He has had a few offers (not Tigers) . Broncos are yet to discuss terms or money but say they are interested.

Yep, he's been one of the best centres going around…..I think they are light on props. They have heaps of backrowers come centres. You would have to think Milford may have to play centre.

Would you swap a Gavet or Taupau for him? Or maybe an Austin? Probably not.....what about Ava.

I reckon Ryan Morgan from Parra would be a more achievable target....what has happened to him, not even playing first grade and was he signed already?

Morgan???? No thanks.

Boyd could be off to Canberra.

I'll second the No Thanks motion.

We must have a bit of Money left as we have Fulton retired, Murdoch, Mr T, & Marika gone. Fults was on good Money & so was Ben, Must be a bit left.

What the club needs is the ability to sign up players for average wages but have generous Benefactors who can top up the wages with Third Party Agreements, this is where the Broncos win all the time and why there needs to be a second Brisbane side, so much for a level playing field.
They are signing James Roberts for pretty much the same money he was on at the Titans but he'll recieve a whole lot more more than that, not counting the brown paper bag$, I understand that Copley is being pursued by the Cowboy$, another News Ltd aligned side so I guess that a major signing for 2016 comes down to the love rat Brett Ferres or Tim Grant.

The TPA system has made the NRL a farce, all teams are bound by the salary cap but some teams can pay players a lot more by their ability to generate TPA's, So most of the teams the salary cap was introduced to protect are now worse off. A team like ours would be better off now without a salary cap, at least than every one would be on the same playing field. Of course like most things in life the people making the rules have self interests

"THE Broncos may be forced to pay Dale Copley to play against them this season.

Copley is searching for a new club after becoming a salary cap victim of the James Roberts signing.

It is understood some clubs who are interested in Copley are considering making him an offer but significantly below the $300,000-plus a year salary he was on at the Broncos.

If Copley accepts a deal beneath the value of what was to be the final year of his Broncos contract, Brisbane will be forced to top it up.

The Broncos had to take similar measures when they released Ben Barba and Martin Kennedy from long-term deals a year ago.

Copley has spoken to several clubs and was spotted in Sydney 10 days ago but is understood to have made no decision on his future."

Source?
No way the Roosters would get rid of Jennings IMO.

There have been whispers for the past month or so the Chooks were interested in moving Jennings on so the above rumour may have some substance. As for the source, the moles twitter account, so I suppose it has about a 25% chance of happening.

Would love him at the tigers but I guess we are 100 to 1

Is it New years day or April fools day?

If Copley truly was on $300k…
Just shows how inefficient the salary cap is when a club can afford to pay a back up centre that sort of money, and other teams struggle to put together competitive teams.
