Dale Finucane

If we were to sign finucane, our back row could be aloiai et finucane and we could push Lawrence back to centres

Lawrence is far from a centre he lacks lateral movement.I would think that was the only reason JT moved him to the forwards he is a poor defender in the centres these days

No, just no. Lawrence wasn't moved into the back row due to the lack of depth in the back row. It was because being a first grade center was beyond him due to his hip injury.

Would take him in an instant.

Looks like the big 4 have asked for some forward upgrades.

Should fire up the big fellas to start the year as well.

All this talk in the last week of Tigers being interested in big bucks players makes me think they are resigned to losing at least one of the Big 4\. Maybe just keeping options open in case.
Depending on how long the Big 4 contracts take to get sorted we may miss the boat with some of these off contract players.

Big 3

I don't see what proof there is of this.

I wouldn't mind him at the right price. We already have Taylor at lock though, so it'd mean Taylor spends more time out wide or finucane becomes part of the prop rotation

Good player who would definitely help our pack. He's a backrower though so who does he displace? Rowdy is on board for another couple of seasons…Aloiai is here next year and Taylor has an option in his favor...

Is he a Backrower though?

I see him more as a Prop playing in the #13

Yeah he's a middle third player

If Finucane was a QLDers he would have played 30 Origins by now…

He would be a massive inclusion to our forward pack..

Agree. The big four would be much more inclined to sign up if the club is prepared to bolster its forward strength. Currently our back row forward strength have a touch of fragility about it. One (or two) new good backrower/s would do wonders.

Definite yes. He is the kind of forward we should target. He'd sure up the middle at 13 & allow ET to lock down one edge for 80 mins.

Can't believe Laurie hasn't picked him for origin yet!

He is too small and a low impact player, so not required,

189 cm and 106 kgs

Some tough judges on the forum he's built like a tank and hits and runs harder than most forwards. He's an origin quality player. We won't get him but geez some on here are negative for the sake of it.

Forget McQueen this where we should be putting our cash!

We could do with both. We're going to probably need 2 back rowers for '18\. I like both options.

Or the Tigers are trying to get them to hurry up and sign before the cap dissipates.
