We need centre’s badly. Finucane is a beast but not sure he makes any difference when teams just spread early and pick us apart.

I think Pauga has some potential.

True..
I agree with the club letting Joey go and maybe JTJ but who is available to get.
Do we look at Curtis Scott as Raiders would have to pay some freight ??
I would love to go hard for J Manu but that would be a very long shot. So if we cannot get someone decent we may as well try and get Finucane in the meantime even through I think its between Sharks and Dragons.

What difference does Finucane make tonight ? Zip the club is better off spending there money on someone that can coach that might be the first step to on field success.

As I said in another thread, he alone won’t turn us around. He’s the type of player that needs good players around him. As someone else said, he’d have the same impact on us as Frizell has had on the Knights.

I think he adds a lot and would help the team with there defensive structure. Cannot do it himself but he is a proven winner and players should look up to him.

More minutes and double the work ethic of Mikaele?

Another one bites the dust. Finucane was another top shelf signing we were never going to land. When are we going to sign a big name player?

Never…..?

Sharks must have been desperate to sign him for 4 years.
Reported us and Dragons would only offer 3.
That’s if you believe we actually made an offer.

Thought i read we came in late with a 4yr deal, forcing all others to offer the same.

That's what David Riccio reported. We offered 4 years at good money according to him

Of course we would have offered 4. If you come in late, you have to come in with something other clubs aren’t offering. Sharks were obviously desperate for him.

Not what I heard - we offered two years with an option for the third year and only did so after his manager contacted us with the deal as good as done to the Sharks - last minute opportunity for a clubs to up the anti.

According to Kent we offered 2.8 mil over 4 years. Apparently the sharks had only offered him 3 years and were forced to change that to 4 to get him. Glad we didn't get him on that deal. Sharks will regret such a long term.

Taken from Readys mail.

Brent Read reporting it is down to 4 clubs for Finucane who will make a decision by Friday

Those clubs are
- Gold Coast
- North Queensland
- Newcastle
- St George

***he also stated Dragons have offered a 3 year deal worth 850 000 per yr*** which is the same wage Paul Vaughan was on

Titans and Knights have offered less whilst the Cowboys have offered around the same

Not even close eh

More disappointed with missing TPJ, but the bottom line we could have offered double and he would have knocked us back. The Sharks are on the up, so life will be a lot easier than heading to Concord
