Daley says ''hostile'' environment may work against Aaron Wo

Woods is ready and Monday nights matchup against QLD will show if he is or not. Won't be a better test imo. Some origin players in that pack and at suncorp. So, go up there Woodsy and belt some cane toad heads. If Daley doesnt pick you after you have a blinder, tell the QLD selecters you use to holiday in the Gold Coast a few times with your mum and dad when you were at school and you'll be a shoe in for the QLD side! They'll take anyone.

the NSW Team is named on Sunday

You'd think Laurie might also ask his vice captain, a guy he obviously respects about whether Woods is ready? He plays with him every week and probably the best qualified to know whether he was "tough" enough.

maybe he has and they both agreed its not the best thing?

When asked on 360 Robbie said he wanted Woodsy.

Laurie can't be watching too hard if he doesn't think Aaron is ready for it. He's dominated the nrl for a second straight season and is part of our leadership group. I have complete faith he is ready. Throw out all bias I may have too, If Grant had more minutes in him lately i'd go Grant but he's been injured. I feel he'll be off speed. Has to be Woods.

If Daley is being serious the only 2 candidates assuming Grant is injured are Woods and Mannah

I agree.

anyone outside that 3 is a disgrace.

Kade Snowden! surely a redherring. He was a terrible selection teh first time!

Just like Farah wasn't there man before last year. Pffft alright

yep, that is all i thought of and couldn't be bothered reading the whole article.

why are ex first graders such morons.the crap that comes out of their mouths is mind numbing.
a 12 year old girl could come up with something better than this crap.

Logic suggests, or rather it should dictate that Woods be selected. Daley said he likes the bench players he has and doesn't want to change that. Tamou didn't do much in game 1 and Woods will definitely do better, with a higher workrate and I'd argue he has better footwork at the line than Tamou. Defensively he gets through a lot of work and he'll keep the middle tight. Run him for 20 minutes, throw Fifita on for the next 40 and then bring Aaron back for the final 20 where he'll be fresh and will get through plenty of work when fatigue sets in on most of the players.

I don't think Mannah is up to it, he has no footwork and will be dominated by Qld, and if Tim Grant was fit, well yeah then he'd be fine, but no match fitness or recent game time…too big a risk IMO.

As if he's going to come out publicly and say anything otherwise.

I think this is a gee up for old woodsy for this brisbane clash, if he can dominate in this game he will play origin 2.

Daley wants him there, just wants too see somthing more

The SOO team is selected BEFORE we play Brisbane!

If its the case Sunday name both.

Without been bias, Has to be Woods > Grant. Grant has been injured.

Pecking order for me

Woods
Grant
Mannah
Mason

Well if hes not selected itys a bonus for us.

Saw plenty here before with that attitude, but he should be given a crack imo…though I see daleys point.

Its probably the toughest game (theyre down 0-1) at the toughest stadium with the toughest crowd in the toughest circumstances (gal payback) with Woods playing in the toughest positon - for anyone to debut

different ground, position, circumstances....different scenario

but if he keeps his form up they cant ignore him forever...his time will come

Poll on NRL Nation has Woods as most likely to be selected, not that it means much…

100% agree Ink… Aaron will play SOO either this year or next. 1 more year isnt gona ruin his career, and if anything, it will allow him to be a better player.

If Aaron can keep his form and keep working hard on some little things till the end of the year, he is the perfect fit to tour with the Kangaroos to the World Cup.

How experienced was Fifita before he was picked for Origin 1?

This is irrelevant… Andrew was picked to forefill a specific role.

Aaron is a domestic, and if picked will play a vast different role.
