Daley says ''hostile'' environment may work against Aaron Wo

What is gonna work against Woods is the fact that the Origin team will be picked on Sunday afternoon and we play on Monday night leaving Woods out of the running . What happens if he has a blinder at SUNCORP against quite a few of those Queenslanders ? it will count for nothing as the team is gonna get picked a day before .
In other words Woods what Daley is saying is you are not going to get picked . Daley = dumb Ass

How experienced was Fifita before he was picked for Origin 1?

This is irrelevant… Andrew was picked to forefill a specific role.

Aaron is a domestic, and if picked will play a vast different role.

Ok,,,,,,,I am confused.

Why is Aaron domestic?what does that mean?

And by forefill Im assuming you mean fulfill ???And if so what is this special role??Im assuming you are in direct contact with Daley.

Ink had it all down. Sucks the likes are still out of action.

As much as I think Woods deserves it, we are kind of lucky not to lose him. He is the real MVP of our team, he leads the pack, and without him we are unfortunately ducks out of water at present. If sauce was fit maybe we could survive but that isnt the case unfortunately.

He will get his day in the sun, but if Daley is too dumb to realise this, it bodes in our favour. The whole football world knows it.

Im guessing Watto means Woods is a traditional front rower - domestic - metre eater with an offload, a bit of footwork. Lots of defensive work

Fafita is an x factor, impact 2nd spell bench front rower

it's a win win for us. if he gets picked- well deserved. if he doesn't get picked, he will be fired up for us against the broncos.

We dont have a "Laurie Daley Pearls of Wisdom" thread on this forum for no reason.

What has been said is just ridiculous really. But, as others have said, if Grant is fit I have no problem with him getting the nod.

How come there is always so much conjecture over whether one of our players should be picked for rep teams or not, while players from most other teams usually just walk into them? It's always a battle for our guys, no matter where we stand on the ladder! Sick of it, tbh.

me too.. And the bias against us is so obvious… Let's face it had Buderus not been injured last year Robbie would not have had a look in... He then forced them to pick him again by his Herculean efforts...

In a way i hope he doesn't get picked because we are playing the day after its announced. therefor Woods will make sure he doesn't get hurt and i don't think put in a 100% effort. I dont blame him if i was about to debut for SOO i would't want to get injured. I think the team being named on a Sunday with one game to go is just damn right stupid. The selection for both teams should be after all games have been completed for the round. But in saying all of that, it could work in our favour with some people saying he shouldn't be there so coming out on monday, having being selected, and having a blinder would be good for us. Also then if he doesn't get picked he will want to prove that he should be there and also have a blinder.

The latest excuse as to why he shouldn't be picked is because WT play on Monday and Aaron wouldn't be able to train with the team until Thursday - there is no way he will picked. Also reports that Tolman is the front runner - the smallest front row ever in a SOO

Its the "Origin before Club" thing Daley has talked into some of the Players… In the lead up to Game 1 no one saw Gallen or Lewis play when they were seriously able to play, and this time round we are seeing Robbie take the pre-cautionary option to ensure he plays Origin.

Rip in Aaron... Enjoy the rest of your season, and get yourself an Kangaroos Jumper for the World Cup!

Fifita played on the Monday and was picked.

There is no reason Aaron couldn't be in camp early Tuesday.

Tolmam has a go each and every time but I think we need someone with a bit of size. Tamou brought size to the Blues team but he also brought footwork which every Blues forward have and allows them to get in-between players and not get dominated in the play-the-ball. Lewis and Bird did it all night. It's that reason why I think Woods should get picked. The footwork and mobility of the Blues forwards is posing questions to Queensland and they are struggling to answer it with there straight running forwards in Scott, Shillington, etc.

Woods is a far better player than Tolman will ever be. It will be a joke if he is overlooked for Tolman.

Woods should have been picked in game 1 he is in better form than Tamou this year and I would have picked him in front of Fifita as well. Daley and the selectors have always been anti tigers players. If Woods played for the Dogs, Dragons or Eagles he would have played origin last year.

for some reason i can picture him better in green and gold than a sky blue (maybe coz orange in our colours)

i think there are quite a few players who deserve to have a go. mannah, tolman, mason, woods and even weyman.

imo woods is better than all of them but wouldn't mind if any of the others were picked over him. i just dont want someone like beau scott, ben creah, tony williams or jamie buhrer to get the gig :brick:

100% Agree… Toleman over Woods would be laughable!
