Daley quotes are interesting. Doesn't he have a relationship with Madge and was sounded out for an assistant/halves coaching role?

Wonder if any of those quotes were planted and come from a bit closer to the club than the article suggests

Same thoughts when first reading it

Ivan bent us over, no doubt about it. A third of the cap in 3-4 ordinary players. I think we have the core of a quality group and if we can spend the $2.5-3m wisely once Mbye, Reynolds, Packer etc move on, there will be greener pastures. I hate continually looking forward to lock in the year we will turn it all around, but at this stage I see continued improvement next year and a much better side in 2022.

Worst part is he gonna win Comp this year.!

Imagine an Eels - Panthers GF. I wouldn't know what to do.

Throw in Roosters going for a three-peat, it's just bad news all around. I'd leave the country but that's probably not even possible.

I wonder why no one has thought of this before...

All well and good...to carry the can to move these guys on by paying them to play elsewhere also restricts the calibre of player you can replace them with...but yeah paying players to play for other teams has worked so well in the past...

Yep . Next year will be a good year . Packer , ,McQueen , Reynolds , Taylor will all be either long gone or about to be gone . If those values are to be believed that’s 2.5 mil across 4 players . Also I heard Jennings is on 300k. I honestly believe Packer is essential to us making a run . He can inspire the boys . We lacked an ignition . Against Parra he was that . I honestly think if he goes to crazy town , the Leiluas ,Blore , Aloai , McIntyre , Garner will follow him . Not to city central , maybe to the city outskirts , maybe a cup of coffee in the city centre LOL

Same thing if MMoses made the blues team, not watch it. Haha.

Daley said on BSB this morning that he was talking to Madge on Saturday (by phone I think). Daley said he wondered if Madge said the same things to his players that he said to him and laughed! Must have still been blowing up big time. Makes you wonder who phoned who, maybe Madge is still hoping Daley can lend a hand.

I'd say right on the money.

So who are we going to sign to replace all the players walking out the door. At present we do not seem to be a destination of choice for many players

At least we'll get Momzy back from Storm next year. That gives us a reliable Wing/Centre with some toe... A toe that can kick pretty decently too. This is extremely important coz whatever back-line player we bring in, goal-kicking won't be a pre-requisite. This broadens the spectrum of potential recruits.
Also, we had Drinkwater, (the Cowboys' blokes brother or cousin) playing for Maggies NSW Cup side the other year. They were doing well, he was one of the top point-scorers for the year but never got a crack. Then he took that offer up in the U.K. which coincided with their slide down the ladder. Not sure about the timing of Benji returning, but sure it was before we picked up Walters. Would've liked to have seen him get his chance.

Does anyone rate William Kennedy from the Sharks? I haven't personally watched alot of him, but by all accounts he seems to be making a good fist of it. His old man is William "Bubba" Kennedy who played for Tiges '96-'98, and was team leading try-scorer the first 2yrs. That sort of connection might be a workable angle, if of course anybody rates young Billy.

I thought he was absolutely average, but I will say he has looked better the last couple of weeks. Not sure if that is his game improving as he gets use to the opposition or the standard of the opposition he is working against.

Riff vs slimes GF - would make history for me as it would be the first GF I haven’t watched in 50 years.

Me too. But I think I’d be going for parramatta even though I hate them

I’d rather Moses and Matterson win a comp than Cleary.
We still got two years left of Cleary mess to clean up.

Both Parra and Penrith will choke..and that will be glorious ..

Man alive I'd rather go with the Cleary Carnies.....

What a horrible position to be put in...

Good point re: opposition. He's still pretty light on for experience but he's No.2 fullback in front of Duges n Mulitalo despite that. Hit n miss as to whether he's really progressing and if it continues. Thanks for your thoughts.
