Dane Chisholm

The recent signing of Dane Chisholm is an interesting one. He looks a classy young player at age 21 and will put pressure on Moltzen at 1 and Miller at 7\. He looks a good back up for Benji at 6 too. Very nice running game and can put a player through a hole.

This is just going off what ive seen from his highlights package, so if anyone else can tell us more about him that would be appreciated.

But our depth once again around key positions exceeds onther clubs. 1, 6, and 7 are well coverd by Moltzen, Brown, Humble, Tedesco, Benji, Sironen, Miller and now Chisholm. Not many clubs have so many options, obviously the key for us is making sure whoever plays 7 is up to it.

Has it been confirmed King? I only saw it in a thread yesterday that we had signed him but it was a "I heard… rumour".

I think if we are signing juniors from the Storm it can only be a good thing. They do seem to have the best up and coming stars.

Never heard of him. Did he play #1 or #7 for their Toyota Cup side? Assume Storm wanted to keep him but wont get a run with Slater and Cronk there.

He aquitted himself wellish in the QLD cup games I saw. No world beater but looks ok.
I would have Tom Humble ahead of him, and Miller is the X factor, seems to have more ability but is not as far down the development track.

If he can keep his head he will be great!!
I just think he isn't quite there yet...

As always we need to remember Miller doesn't turn 20 until August next year. He just needs to be carefully managed and he can be our halfback for a long time

I'd like to see the club stick with Miller..It could be that Chisholm has been brought in to fill Millers spot in NYC.

Good depth, good versatility, decent defence from the highlights reel and a good turn of speed. I fail to see any negatives in this.

Agree Willow. I think Chisholm would be a decent signing although possibly more as a 3/4

watched a lot of chisholm in the 20s in 2009\. although he played six wasnt a traditional half. really only showed a running game and was very good at backing up breaks and offloads. i think he actually scored 5 tries in a semi final that year against souths. once he finished the toyota cup he has mainly played center and fullback and iirc played a handful of first grade games at center this year.

decent depth signing, you never know with these fringe melbourne first graders. i dont remember too much fuss when the warriors signed james maloney…

interesting.. we've signed 2 Storm players and 2 eels for next year

- nice defender and as mentioned good wrestler
- hint of a good kicking game
- he has that same "Something" that Aysh, Reed and Grant have, which makes them harder to tackle

nice signing imo. will make others give 100% , although dont think he will be used until injuries.

Well there has been no mention from either club .
So yes Yoss to answer your question it is still a rumour
