Darren Lockyer - Tedesco and Brooks Will Play Rep Footy Next Year

There was even a poll on the tele website…Tedesco was at about 45% whilst Moylan 15% and other fullbacks.

Moylan is not better than Tedesco, not even abit.

That's your perception.

Also the way other people see it mate. Moylan has got nothing on Tedesco.

Just because a poll says so, doesn't make it true. Was there a poll on how many of those were WT's supporters? Seriously i'm bored already with these comparisons. This is going to be a staple of this forum for the next 5 yrs plus, joy.

Moylan is Australia's long term 5/8, it's only a matter of time until he moves there permanently. Tedesco is a far superior fullback and Moylan would be an extremely dangerous 5/8, completely different players but both supremely talented.

Agree.
Moylan has a couple of years on teddy, plus experience and a great goal kicker.

Idk who is better yet, but we've seen previously with guys like GI, Scott prince and even Cronk who all are just as good if not better than their predecessors but got stuck behind due to incumbency. If Moylan doesn't move to 5/8- unfortunately, teddy might get unlucky.

teddy is wasted at any position other than fullback in the same with greg inglis is wasted with slater there.

its just the way the cards fall unfortunately, but i think he'd make a KILLER centre. he plays so much like one when he chimes in that backline already and is such a great ballplayer/runner outwide.

Inglis is the best centre in the world and the best fullback in the world

Slater isn't that far behind GI

Madness to play GI at the back for Qld while Slater can maintain his form and we have no centres within cooee of GI bar Hodges

No one currently playing want Robbie… He is to full off himself.

Ask Bird & Gallen!

Easy fixed - don't pick them.

Gallen is over the hill and Bird, well does anyone want an actor and supergrub playing for Australia.

GI is a bit of a myth. He's never played in a bad team so it's difficult to say how great of a player he actually is. He's quite poor defensively and has gone missing the past month since Reynolds has been injured.

On the other hand, Moylan has stepped up into the main playmaker role with the injuries to Soward and Wallace and has really taken on the extra responsibility that his team needs.

Additionally, someone like Thurston (who in my opinion is the next immortal) has played in an inconsistent team for the majority of his career and still shines.

I have no problem with Moylan keeping the 5/8 seat warm for Mitchell.

Ted will never play 5/8 with a guy like Moses at club level, or representative levels because he is the most promising fullback in the game. Tedesco is dynamic at the back and his running game is in a class of it's own, and the whole combination that Brooks and Moses have built up in their junior years would be worth nothing. The tigers will do wonders with these three in their natural positions, the best is yet to come.

GI is very similar to Wally Lewis in one major way

He might only play well for 10 minutes but tears games apart in those 10 minutes

I don't know if JT should be made an Immortal while still playing , but the minute he retires he has to be first off the rank to be made an Immortal

yea i agree, the point is that teams have to be adjusted to suit the team not an individual player. GI would be far more effective at FB than centre, just like teddy is most effective at FB. but there are a lot of great 1s going around so if teddy wants to be a rep player he might have to consign to play somewhere other than fullback

of course he bloody shouldnt!! who in their right mind would annoint a player an IMMORTAL when they're still playing??

let alone never won a premiership at their chosen position (hint: JT's chosen position isn't on the bench)

Big call on Teddy being an IMMORTAL…but I like it...

I was replying to Blake93 comment in regards to JT

The only reason JT won't be the next Immortal is he will still be playing

If we are talking future 5/8 Kangaroos (five years from now) Jack Bird must be considered as well.
1\. Moylan
2\. D Tupou
3\. Teddy
4\. Dugan
5\. James Roberts
6\. Jack Bird
7\. Ben Hunt

It's a big prediction saying that at Brooks will be there.
I'm not saying he won't, and I hope he is.but it won't be for quite a while and there a few young guys that have popped up recently that could change everything

Blokes like The young Titans kid (certainly playing well at the moment) also Keary could even move into Half at some time and both of them would possibly have a chance of making it along with Luke. They all look like they could be a chance ,but there's a long way to go.

I agree with his comments about Jack Bird, on current form he would easily walk into a major rep team as 5/8th in a couple of seasons.
Then again, you never know who is going to come out of the woodwork , between now and then .
