Benji needs to be driving the culture change not the front office. Benji needs to be one setting the standards in attack and defense, the players need to see this from him and his coaching staff, the younger players need to see this as well. Benji and his staff need to get amongst the lower grades and showing them what they need to do to play first grade. Our First grade playing structure needs to be running through all grades.

The good player that Naden is rarely sighted in First grade and inconsistent basis is shown in Reserve Grade this should be his last season with Us. Leave him in Reserve Grade this season end of.
If he gets 5-6 FG games as injury replacement and has a go, that’s about all we need from him.

Rather he move on but he’s on too much freight to be attractive.

He seems to me to be a guy overwhelmed by the occasion.
When in KOE Cup he looks relaxed, poised even and a real handful.
When in NRL he tries too hard…instead of securing the tackle with his shoulder and clinch, it’s an aggressive swinging arm. Instead of drawing and setting up another player, he aggressively tries to barge through the line. Instead of securing a high ball, he’ll often elect to wait and belt the opposition contester. He goes beast mode and makes errors galore and wears himself out. It’s a psychological thing. I wonder if we have gone down that path to help or if he has just been labelled too hard and blackballed?
The guy can play when in the right mind frame…
Very much in the same mold as Cody walker. If you take the frustration out of his game he’s way better

Klemmer regarding his clause for next season via DT:

As for Klemmer, he said he was not worried by his game trigger.
Klemmer has played at least 18 games a year since his first full season in the top grade in 2014.
“(My mindset) would be different if I was at the beginning of my career,” Klemmer said. “Obviously I’m at the back end… all I can control is coming to training and doing my best. I am respectful, train well, be a good person and a good leader.
“If (I thought) about it, it would eat you up. I just have to play good football.
“I’ve always said that as soon as the wheels fall off I’ll hang the (boots) up.
“I’m still fighting and competing. I am running good times. Once I am not keeping up with the blokes then it’s time. I’m still there or thereabouts and fighting for it.”

In the club day photo posted he still hasn’t put any meat on the bone - we don’t need a gaunt front rower, he’s been here a while now and despite being tall still looks like the disabled seagull with one leg that regularly gets shunted away from the obligatory hot chip. So glad we have Royce Hunt, he’s not a twig in the wind!

Yeah how disappointing first photo that came out in the off season looked like he put some on but that turned out to be misleading, all the talk from Betsy's pod about improving ground given up when tackled you would expect to be some stronger body shapes.

This can be looked at from another perspective.
Our lack of line speed when defending over the past 2 seasons in particular has been a great concern.
You have to ask the question why our defensive line speed is so consistently poor and seemingly way behind nearly all other NRL clubs ?
A fit and lean Klemmer still weighs in around 110kgs, surely he does not need to be any bigger to make an impact ?
If it means he’s playing with high intensity which means carrying the ball at speed and defending with good line speed, the lack of so called bulk will not be an issue.

Yes speed is power, if they have been working on this all off season as suggested by Betsy we will know early, last season with the 2 early wins I thought we turned the corner then it all fell apart this season we will have Luai yapping at them that should keep them in line.

Now you talking about the elite echelon. Not too many in that category. You be talking about players like Payne Haas. Just a footnote - his ain't be named Payne for no reason.

Incorrect AHX.
If you sit back and wait for them when defending, the ball carrier has much more mine and is much harder to stop because of it.
Line speed it key and once that is happening hitting them hard with shoulder is also vital.
I hear you. Just to make it simple. Our props dont seem to have it. Im with you on this....

Yes I am talking elite, most of our starting line up are earning up around half a million dollars per season if not more, therefore should have elite qualities about them.
I’m not asking them to do brain surgery or land on the moon, just play with high energy/intencity, play tough & fearless, run the ball hard and tackle hard.
Get this right and you are 80% towards victory without demonstrating any out of the ordinary skill.
