Who are the guys that have gone past him , Sione please , Pole , Klemmer would be a safer defender than both these guys and probably Twal , he puts in for 80 minutes , club wanted out of the contract only , Klemmer would have been in the run on team if that clause was not in it , did you watch any games last year
That’s just your perspective ! The club has evaluated his talent to be below the others . Whether right or wrong . I’m sure his contract in 26 would be a huge part of the equation and their reasoning .
What I’m saying is based on facts . He was told he wasn’t going to start in nrl very early in the offseason .
My opinion on whether he’s in front behind anyone is irrelevant .
Your statement was around mismanagement, and that’s what I replied to . Ie. there’s was none .
Like I said , bad news or disagreement in opinion does not equal mismanagement .
And for the record , I personally do think klemmer would be above Fainu . But Fainu can play on the edge at a stretch and is 400k cheaper .
I think we could have benefited from him on Friday last week.
But that’s not what we are talking about right now .
We are talking about whether the club did Klemmer dirty . And they didn’t . And I don’t think they made the wrong decision either .
that klemmer is above Fainu in early 25 , doesn’t mean he will. Be there in 26 , let alone the back end of 25 .
As for Pole ? Come on man . Yes Pole needs to fix his tackling technique , but he regularly runs for 150 and dents the line . There’s not 1 nrl team who would play klemmer above Pole . Despite how useful I think klemmer is .
So whilst yes , I agree klemmer is probably in most teams top 17, there’s no way any club can justify paying 650k for the 5th best prop in their club .
Unfortunately , his contact has to be factored in . But like I said , that’s a completely different question to the 1 I replied to .

Kind of makes you wonder what was the Klemmer conversation behind the walls of Concord, not a lot of love I guess.
It is now 3 starting forwards from last year, all reaching international status, all having had finals experience - including grand finals that have walked from their contracts early and are still playing in the NRL this year.
I think we all need to know whats being said behind those doors.

Not sure. I was happy for Klemmer to play this year but thought next year we needed to move on. Bateman maybe a rep but he shouldn't be. Papalii played one good year and is playing out of position. Should be a lock. Klemmer has good qualities but feel we need more dynamic front rowers especially with API still here.

This may be true to some extent, and a lot of it is to do with coaching at this club.

The narrative is this all seemed to start with Molo at saints having a sook and were reacted ....late.
I hope klem is OK with all this he seems like a good bloke...he was in our plans a few weeks back at the camp
I will believe it when I see it if we replace him with someone better as it stands all we have us cap space...that don't win you games

Yeah I would of liked to seen training sessions. I want to see if it's the coaching or if it's the players or both.

API and Grant are the two most dynamic hookers. Need to use API with the forwards and Bula. Go through the middle. Bring the defence line in and then move it none of this one out crap.

F cone of silence mate we will never find out all we will get is a shit ton of never ending media speculation, I'm sitting on the fence with the decisions because I don't know all the reasons behind it, will judge as replacements eventually sign but for the moment all that experience missing is F with our depth right now that's for sure.

Heard the same on one of the Shows the other night,
You can't win a comp with cap space.

Spot on 3 million in the bank won’t win anything , we need the cattle now so this year is not also a waste of time , no more rebuilds and major clean outs , start winning and do some house work end each season, we need to start bringing in players from Monday and we also can’t afford to loose on Sunday

Tigers have created some significant cap space for next season. Bateman, Papali'i, Klemmer & Utoikamanu off the books- I suspect there is a big target on the radar that the club puts a bunch of money into.

Probably not for this season- I'm talking next season onwards.

Still believe Richo will see Greg Inglis potential in Cobbo.

add Olam's money to that pile.

If we buy more backs after signing Taylan May, that will do me.

We desperately need 2 high quality forwards and 2 more that are banging the door down for NRL time.

Cobbo is rumoured to sign an extension to 27 to leave him in the sights for PNG for 28.

Hopefully they have someone lined up for that money . It’s really only 300k they save , for the second half of the year .
Hopefully they give it to May and front load a lot of these contracts we need shored up .
