You can’t really speak for everyone on a forum but based on a lot of comments on here I wouldn’t say people want mediocrity, but I’d say there is an acceptance of the club continuing on a path that hasn’t brought any success recently. I’m trying to shake things up, get some new ideas flowing, maybe put some pressure on anyone connected to the club to enact some change.

I know you’re a big fan of those in the joint at the moment so I don’t expect you to understand or support this approach. The beauty of it is the forum allows expression of opposing views.

Comments like ‘Let Nofa go’ and ‘he’s not a good clubman’ ‘We won’t miss Aloiai’, none of that is based on fact or logic, it’s a throwback to other times we’ve had less than ideal player transfer outcomes and rather than ask why it happened and how we fix it, we play the victim and blame the player or the system.

I don’t think people realise it either.

I am not sure if it is blaming the player or the system in complaining that players under contract are obviously negotiating with other clubs when the rules allow that.

As long as the stories about the contract are true , good luck to a player who is able to squeeze a couple of hundred grand a year more than other clubs are offering out of one club.

To be honest neither Aloiai or Nofa are worth 650k per year. If they leave for that money good luck to them, but by the same token be honest about it. I left for more money/better security. The players try to paint themselves as the victim of some sort e.g. Aloiai's mate coming on here and trying to sell some story about how his treatment left him with no choice to leave.

I love the club but....
I wanted to stay but....
I want to be a one club player but....

At the end money and security was more important to me & so I was prepared to sacrifice my dreams of being a a one club player at the club I love to get my hands on more $$$.

JAC was the same, never wanted to leave the tigers, would love to come back in the future, but at the end of the day he went where the money was.

Half of the contract negotiations and the aftermath these days are nothing but PR spin.
