Wtf are you talking about ?I understand - but genetic coding and the role of the nature/nurture factors are far more complicated and still not fully known.
How it relates to Nofa is immaterial!
I agree with both of you - if he is truly remorseful then ok, maybe lend a hand or some form of assistance but if he is the way he is when he left (arrogant) then what can you do?Exactly . Apparently he should be tarred and feathered because he was a shit defender and phoned it in for 2 years .
Some rock ape logic right there !
Never had any of your staff/colleagues moved on - some welcome back - others marked "not to be re-employed" and even literally marched out?Exactly . Apparently he should be tarred and feathered because he was a shit defender and phoned it in for 2 years .

No science is hard though . It’s always at the mercy of best idea wins . And as far as I understood , this is the consensus around this subject .It is sociology - not hard science
I understand where you're coming from and the only way to learn is not to open yourself up for that experience again... burnt bridges are hard to crossNever had any of your staff/colleagues moved on - some welcome back - others marked "not to be re-employed" and even literally marched out?
I’m not in a field where dudes are prone to self harm , once they do leave .Never had any of your staff/colleagues moved on - some welcome back - others marked "not to be re-employed" and even literally marched out?
Correct - and that is why I wasn't referring to the nature of empathy or why people feel empathy for a given subject! No science is hard though . It’s always at the mercy of best idea wins . And as far as I understood , this is the consensus around this subject .
Yes - but the duty of care ceases at a point.I’m not in a field where dudes are prone to self harm , once they do leave .
And the field that I was in , before this one , was prone to that as an outcome Z which has unlimited resources and help for those people .
You don’t have to like him, or even respect him , but he wore the jersey , he put in the hard yards , and the help will now be there for him.
Just like I’m sure it’s there for Taniela , even though it’s obviously too little too late.
No it doesn’t . That’s where your lost ! It never ceases . Especially with CTE as the elephant in the room .Yes - but the duty of care ceases at a point.
That can either be on termination/separation - or if the individual is identified as vulnerable until they have entered new employment...
Just because their new gig doesn't work out doesn't mean the burden comes back to his previous employer.
He should have access to Salford's welfare team.
Look I couldn’t be bothered rehashing the conversation but that’s not what you said ! You question the motives and intentions of those , basically me , who had empathy for nofa , even though he was a dickhead and probably still is.
Maybe in your pursuit of winning an argument you got lost , but as I said , the whole empathy conversation started because you questioned whether people would care about randoms in the street .
And I personally know of 2 blokes , who I didn’t like mind you, who went to sleep and never woke up by thier own hand .
That’s the extreme outcome of course , but it all starts with simple things . And maybe just maybe , if you extend your hand to even the biggest dickhead , he might have a come to Jesus moment and realise . And no I’m not religious ..
Being consistent in ignorance is not something I’d be gloating about .View attachment 12916
It is exactly what I said - and I have remained conistent!
Yes it is - but until Nofoaluma comes out and says he is suffering from depression I will not give any credence to the mental health fallback which is only being presented by third parties with no direct knowledge of the situation!@Snidest 0 i don’t understand what’s funny ? THe black dog is a real issue
What ? We are talking about the club sticking by him . That’s all . And in explaining the logic behind why they not only are , but probably are obligated to . External of the fact that probably , he’s still mates with a lot of people in the building .Yes it is - but until Nofoaluma comes out and says he is suffering from depression I will not give any credence to the mental health fallback which is only being presented by third parties with no direct knowledge of the situation!
You can only be helped if you want to be - and he needs to take the first steps in private!
I am fine with that - and am sure the NRL - RLPA and club would assist with any examination into possible CTE.What ? We are talking about the club sticking by him . That’s all . If you want to dismiss that . I can’t stop you . But im going to disagree with it .
CTE being the big one , even if that’s a bit cynical .
He lost his job . And was removed from the inner sanctum , for his self destructive behaviour , which that in itself means some shit is going on with someone .I am fine with that - and am sure the NRL - RLPA and club would assist with any examination into possible CTE.
But I would not be welcoming him back into the fold - because he has other social habits that his "mates" who are still in the building and the club would be better off avoiding.
