David Nofoaluma #164

I have no issue with him leaving if he wants more 'overs'. This is his last contract and life after footy could be uncertain. WTs have him for another year and I have no doubt will use that time to bring on a replacement.

I completely agree with not paying overs.

But it would suck to lose him,he loves this club,is a junior and had an awesome season.

This is the way I see it. Don't pay overs. If he goes it's fine. I hope and want him to stay but he is easily replaceable.

I hope he stays but the days of our juniors trying to turn the screws on us should be over.

I havent really kept up to date with the Noffa situation, i would like him to stay but not on the ridiculous money that was being mentioned a while back north of $600K and i dont really know how true that was anyway. If we were to get him for somewhere between $400-$500k that would be ok in my eyes, as someone mentioned above and i agree with it he does seem to over value himself. In my eyes he's a decent winger but nothing more than that, he's a good clubman to have around as he seems to like it here and that probably inflates his value somewhat.

See what happens when people keep talking about the Dogs. One of the inmates escapes from the cesspool and starts posting here.

As if WT would be going anywhere near DWZ 800k price tag. You suckers are stuck with him for another couple of years!

Love the retort???

I always thought he was crucial for us,purely for his dirty hit ups
But if our pack lifts, then we can live without him

If he leaves we will certainly at least someone to put their hand up for those hard dirty early metres

This has gotta be one of the most toxic threads on the forum. Has very little to do with Nof resigning and is more attacking him based off zero credible sources and how long the supposed deal is taking. I get we’ve ***been in mediocrity*** for close to a decade now but doesn’t mean you have to accept it as the norm, eg swapping Nofoaluma for mansour

Wouldn’t paying top dollar for Nofo be the definition of accepting mediocrity?

Name me 3 better wingers right now not including addo carr as we already know how much he’s being paid

Cotric, Sivo, Ferguson, Coates, Kamikamica, Gagai, Allen, both Morris bros,

All of those guys are better wingers than nofo, without considering JAC. How many of them would be getting $500K? Maybe 2-3

You’ve put a front rower (and a centre) in there? And your arguments are dubious.

Haha exactly. Wrong person to be having this argument with clearly

Not sure letting Nofa go early is worth it to get Mansour and Laurie. We’re getting Laurie in 2022 anyway and Mansour is a downgrade

As for DWZ he did play good under Madge but he’s been pretty average lately, he’s no fullback and not sure he’s that great a winger either

Thanks for the info though

Mansouris not a downgrade David has had ONE good year that is all

Imagine trading a dally m winger of the year for a bloke who’s just turned 30, just so we can get an unproven talent a year early. Mansour is a downgrade on almost every level. But it seems you’re the leader of the Nofoaluma hate club so I’m sure this won’t register with you very well

No problem, from the rest of my list, which of those players is Nofo better than?

DWZ would be the exact opposite of Hartigan’s recruitment strategy... Expensive with a bunch of weaknesses and no upside.

Yeah it wouldn’t make sense unless the dogs were picking up the vast majority of his salary. I used to rate DWZ but last year he was atrocious.

Inconsistent his entire career, he’d definitely fit in.

Sorry I haven't seen him play well since his injury and don't expect that to change ...give me the choice of Mbye and DWZ I take Mbye every day of the week and twice on Sundays ....you'd hope and pray Hartigan has told the Tigers "You sign him and i[m outta here"

If he is the only NZ player we can attract ...Madge needs to quit the Kiwis side

Rant over DWZ is crap to the power of crap cubed
