Dean Collis

if they sign Collis they might aswell bring back John Morris.

I would not complain if Morris returned. Perfect bench player to cover the backs and forwards. Rarely misses tackles.

Neither would i. I dont care what anyone said about him, he gave 110% every week and only reason he wasnt worth keeping is he was out of position.. But we do need a back up hooker for Robbie… we dont really have anyone.. he would be a good utility

I rate Dene Collis as a decent player, he is very good at putting his outside man away, I cant believe he doesn't get a game at cronulla, Id take him back for sure. I think he is a much better centre than everyone we have outside the top2

I agree with the first part but not the second Goose,

Collis had some serious potential, He just got a better offer and hasn't kicked on because of injury and perhaps because he was at a very unstable and tumultuous club.

At one stage I recall Coach Sheens saying that He and Lawrence could both be the NSW and Aus Centres.

Worth a lifeline IMO.

As for the best we have B-Ryan and Brown are handy…

Hey guys we still have a salary cap to keep under

As a cheap depth signing sure sign him up.
At least with collis Sheens will know what he is going to get so he's not really taking a punt on a player.
Collis never really let us down in any of the games he played.. he just sort of hit a wall and prgressed no further and didn't kick on.

Would be a handy backup on low money, I ran into him one day when it came out he was going to the sharks & he said the only reason he was going was it was twice the amount of money that the tigers had offered him.

The most overhyped junior we have ever brought through. He never showed any potential, and got worse the more first grade he played.

Seems like a nice quiet kid, but a first grader he will never be

I think that Collis is a bit injury prone, but I wouldn't mind getting Morris back, I don't think he ever missed a game when he played with us. But what about Geoff Daniela, I reckon he's a pretty handy player to have around. :stuck_out_tongue:

Collis was one of Sheens golden boys coming through the juniors but he failed to kick on and has been plagued with injury and I really cannot see any benefit in bringing him back to the Tigers at the expense of Brown and Daniela.

John Morris gets too bad of a rap sometimes IMO. Even though he was a failure as a halfback, he was 1 of those players who gave 110% when he played. Didn't miss 1 game in 3 yrs

Agree 100% regarding John Morris - he **always** gave his best & tackled everything in sight, but I don't think most fans would want him back- if he was available 😕

Collis would make a break an try flick pass it to the winger failing everytime

collis is definitely fast enough and can set up the winger, but i like centres that can break the line using size and strength aswell and collis doesnt really do that. his defense isnt the best either. we have young guys in the lower grades who have more potential and it would be better for us for them to be on the minimum wage in the first grade squad. if we signed collis on a 2nd tier contract then thats fine

There is only one "former" player I would ever take back at the Tigers and his name is Gibbs, Bryce Gibbs!

agreed i was a bit suss on some of his facebook and twitter comments but hes given 100% every game hes played and like of others have said is gettin better with age. I'm still holdin out that he won't go know
