Id have thought Lolo impersonating a Man utd player heading the ball would be dumber, but thats just me

The Fonua blind side run would be up there - sadly it was a 'hero play' that failed miserably. The Marsters offload before half time wasn't smart either.

Might be time to find the keys to the Kiama caravan park .

Ivan will be in Melbourne this week probable run with the same team without Nofo.

He can watch his kid play on tv like the rest of us …
He needs to sort out the bus ..
Engine rebuild
New rubber
And a road worthy :brick:

Fortunately for them, Ferguson can kick them from the sideline.

Lot's of things to talk about in that game, but the Reynolds brain explosion that gave them the penalty before half-time was the dumbest play of the game.

Agree, it was unbelievable. It’s one of the dumbest things I’ve seen all season. Perhaps the dumbest.

Dumber than Fonua tapping it forward out of his own in goal?

Yes, much dumber. His only job was to catch the ball but he turned away, as if frightened of the ball, allowing it to hit the side of his head. It was the most cowardly thing I’ve seen a Tiger do since Moltzen.

Agree and worst of the lot, what the hell was Reynolds thinking as the game wound down in the set following Tupou's dropped ball? He leaves the ball sitting on the ground for an eternity so the receiver gets creamed, attempts another glory run when it is not on and then forces our halfback to rush in as dummy half on the last play.

Tui was very poor under the high ball, but he wasn't alone.

There were calls to sign him for 5 years yesterday. Not with these team selections you don’t.

You must be absolutely kidding yourself. You used to defend Lovett and rankin being picked week in and week out. Your one of the loudest on here calling for Tui to be fullback. Ivan can only select what he has. If liddle is injured we don’t talk about Elijah at hooker. With the cAttle we have cleary is doing wonders , better than anything JT could have produced.

I think some of you are losing the plot. Our roster is still below par compared to most and we continually challenge in every game.
How many of our players could you safely say would be able to secure first grade positions in other clubs?
For years the Roosters have made a laughing stock of us with or without their stars. The joke was wish they could play us everyweek -:guaranteed two points.
What Cleary has done with this motley crue is remarkable.

There were things other players did that were equally as dumb that you conveniently overlook, like the Fonua play. If that were Tui you wouldn't overlook it. He didn't play well, but he wasn't alone.

I thought Reynold's kick outa touch gifting the Rooster a shot at 2 was pretty dumb.

Reading this thread reminds me of how many dumb things our players did in this game. In no particular order:
Tui using his head to try and catch a ball
Reynolds grabbing the ball when he was clearly offside
Fonua blindside run into touch
Marsters pushing an offload before half time
Reynolds taking an age to pick up the ball from dummy half… if you’re trying to milk a penalty, make sure you know the rules!

And one for Cleary:
Playing ET at hooker

Ivan has made some horrendous decisions. He isn't without blame for how we are going. The very fact he again named Benji captain is a disgrace. The fact Benji is even in the team is a disgrace.

Some of his team selections have been a real blemish. We might as well put a mannequin out on the right edge. It would be more threatening than MCK.

And what did your hero Aloiai do that was so outstanding today ?
Whole team was crap … but carry on !

Well he did alot more than the usual plodders. I have time to make coffee while I wait for Eisenhuth to get on his feet.

True!

It all started when MC tackled a Roosters player from an offside position.

AFTER the halftime siren had sounded!!!

Should have been hooked straight away.

Fonua was absolutely awful but at least he tried. Most players were awful - but they tried. My issue with Lolohea is that there’s no effort. He looks scared to get tackled and he doesn’t inject himself into the game.

Cleary must also hold concerns for his ability given the signing of Mbye.

It all started when we had 3 consecutive sets in the Roosters half and Taylor decided to play lawn bowls !

Tedescos replacement Lolohea ??
Doesnt come close to a hair on Tedescos ass.

Put him on the wing or get him out of the side

Gone from having the 2nd best fullback in the game to the worst. Pretty good replacement if you ask me. Keep in mind he can kick goals from the sideline.

You just sound like a hater to me - well we get than impression anyway from your repeated hateful comments.

Agree, getting rid of Tui and Benji will fix a heap of problems, but bringing in Killer will fix a lot more.

It'll fix the slaggin' off at ET that's for sure - that's about it though.

Biggest issue I see is the coach and players were talking up the fact during the preseason they were taught to win by being punished for losing. We now seem to be losing because of two main areas, unforced errors and our forwards dont seem to have much impact. Sure we can blame individual players for poor performances, but we have lost that go forward momentum and when we do get good field position we often give it away with unforced errors. Ivan needs to manage this with the team he selects.

Yep, I remember thinking immediately that we we're going to struggle with the ball.
We looked like we had zero

If you think back "sheer64" there is a link to the forwards losing momentum and no Liddle at DH.

It doesn't make any difference who else you put there - Taylor, Reynolds, McIlwrick, Godinet or Jimmy Smith (if you like) we are not going to have the same momentum.

Hence we lose momentum, halves have more pressure on them and so we lose that quick go forward.

So I guess everyone will now blame Liddle for getting injured.
