At this stage they can only go off last years form. We finished poorly. Could be a season where we are the positive talking point. Lets hope so anyway…

Even Gasnier thought we'd finish higher than 14th and he never seems to give us a rap

10th -12th is probably realistic but every club usually improves so who knows

The Rooster love is bemusing , they are a Top 6 side ,but the people picking them for a premiership can't be serious can they ??

Absolutely overkill. Way too much boring analysis of every aspect of the game these days. There are not many original characters left in 1st grade RL these days so the interesting stories avaible to cover are extremely minimal, I mean listening to Cooper Cronk bung on for 20 minutes analysing someone taking a dump ain't exactly riveting telly.
People will only watch what they want to watch of it i guess but IMO there are way too many hack journo's and ego-driven ex players making a living rehashing the same mindless garbage day after day.
 
Im with captain plonker, you get bugger all coverage from the other media here in perth, foxtel is a God send.

I was on board until they previewed the show hosted by Braith and some woman I've never heard of (Cooper Cronk's finance apparently). The fake laughing and smiling was embarrassing. Having said that, Fox still offers so much more than anything channel 9 are doing.

I live in Perth also, agree that foxtel is a godsend as far as getting coverage of RL is concerned. It is just a real shame that they couldn't fill their NRL shows with ex-players who are at least interesting and possessing something resembling a personality instead of bell-ends such as M Johns, Bwaiff, Gasnier, Brandy, Tallis, Corey Parker etc. The spew factor is extreme with floggers like them. And James superscoop Hooper to top the whole sorry story off. The Rugby League Week paper in the 80's and 90's was great- interesting, informative and full of great stories about real sporting legends and characters. Pity those days are gone.
 
I actually don't mind Gasnier and Brandy of that list. Seem to read the game pretty well and just analyse the game on its merits rather than trying to sensationalise things.

I'd really like a proper coaches corner show, properly dedicated to tactics, trends etc. NRL.com have Matt Elliott doing a few of these videos each week - would be good to get a proper show on FS with a couple of guests running their eyes over tape of the previous week(s).
 
:question: If they had half a brain they'd put round 1 on free to air as round 2 was being played on Pay Tv so as to attract viewers that cant or wont get fox. Could attract more supporters. I think the NRL are constantly draggin the chain . No brains in my opinion!

I can't watch sterlo any more with Parker And Hooper. Bwaiff sucks but i dont mind the rest.
RLW was a great mag but has definitely dropped the ball.

I like Brandy Gaz too… Both informative... And I enjoyed Elliotts insights on nrl. Com.... Reminded me of sheens' pre season members info sessions early in his tenure... They were fascinating
