The press conferences are getting monotonous. If we fix this and do that we can compete with the top 8 teams. Bulls#t. Let’s be honest. This squad is not going to get any better and is never going to compete in a way that will see us play finals. I don’t know what the answer is, I’m not the coach. I’m just a fan that sees every other club improving and yet we stay the same underperforming ever to finish ninth team of plodders. Next year looks like this year to me. Hard to get excited. Make it end.

Cronulla and Manly both on the backend of large scores this weekend. The game lends itself to blowouts if you make errors and can't maintain possession - especially against quality squads. We have a lot of average players who try hard and a few that are taking up a bulk of our salary cap that offer not much.

But they cracked tonight first shot down. No tiredness, no pressure...first shot down.

We had 80 % of the ball in the sec half first 20...as soon as the Rorters got it they went and scored.

Absolutely no built up pressure. Nothing.

So, we can't use fatigue or possession as excuses IMO.

Yes - because we are not a match for the Roosters! Do you think the Roosters would have beaten us tonight with Russell Packer Josh Reynolds and Moses Mybe as their highest earning players. Not in a million years and people want to blame Maguire

The Rosters would not even look at those 3 players.

Yet some think we should be matching it with superior squads. As if Bellamy Robinson Bennett would take this on. Maguire may not be the best coach - but any coach is on a hiding to nothing with a this squad and the bloke that created the mess strolled into a ready made premiership winning team. I'm over the ridiculous blame game when we are not even close to be contenders and if peolple want to walk away well see you later.

No one wants them so we have no choice but to wait until there contracts end unless we pay most of their salary to play elsewhere.

I feel for Madge as deep down he would love to come out and say what we all know (shit players) but he has to keep positive for the younger players and not open us up for a media circus. If he said that the media would be all over us every day and the morale / recruitment would be gone. He is on a hiding to nothing because if he blasts the players the media write how his lost control of the dressing room etc.. but for me the experience player we have are just not good enough and that's been proven year after year.. NO LEADERS at all.

Plus lets be honest for the roster he has been given we should be in the bottom 4 teams but he is a class coach - There would only be maybe 2 coaches that could do better with this team (Robinson & Belly) as the rest would struggle..

Unfortunately 2022 will be his first year he can have full control of this team unless we strike GOLD and lose Packer, Moses & Reynolds.

Although Sheensy picked Fitzhenry every game despite his Mbye type performances week in, week out.

Although Sheensy picked Fitzhenry every game despite his Mbye type performances week in, week out.

Sheensy also got us to a grand final (which we won) and 2 preliminary finals. And we played some amazing footy. Under Madge we look like crap and we are going backwards.

How ? The Madge signings were good tonight. And the others not playing have looked really promising .
We seriously lost because Benji and Garner forgot how to tackle for 15 minutes . And the game was over at that point . Even the first try was 3 on 3 . Benji shot out and isolated Joey , because he didn’t trust his inside man , Garner I believe .
It was bloody woeful. Honestly , if we had Blore and Walters in those spots , Do they score all those points ? And if you’re inside those 2 , what do you do ? If I’m defending next to Garner I’m always watching , and nervous about exposing him and Benji. So then I’m not paying attention to what I should and so on it goes . Winning starts in defence . Sometimes , that’s the fullbacks fault for not organising the line, but tonight , it was just a refusal to put your shoulder in . Repeatedly .!

You cannot blame the Coach for past terrible recruitment decisions.. Have a look what these guys give you every week and its just embarrassing for the money that are on. You have to play them as there is nothing else in the cupboard to play with and no money to buy better.

Coach has brought LL (very impressive from the player last year) , AD ( playing injured but gets over 200m a game and very safe under the high ball) , Harry Grant swap (going pretty good) & Joey (Not as good unfortunately).
He has brought some excellent young talent for next year Blore, Stefo, ASU, etc..

But if you think this is more his team this year you are kidding yourself (Youth Yes I agree it is but not the main Players that take up your cap).

Mate to be honest I think its the experience players letting us down.. All these young players need not just experience players but experience WINNING players and all of our ones are not winners unfortunately (When younger Yes but not for 5+ years). We really need to add some hard nose experienced players from winning cultures but we just don't have the funds until we turn over the players I mentioned before..
I've said it before but we lack a players like Wade Graham or JWH that set the standard and leads by example consistently and not just a few games a year.. But once again it come back to the fact our money is held up with overpaid rubbish players that he didn't buy.

We all want them our Team to win as I've had enough but I truly think we have the right coach on board and just need to turn some players over.
