Dene Halatau

He is doing a Bronson it seems.

Fumbling around for a few years and showing potential when the contract is up

I love Deno to death, he's a great guy but no thanks. Never bends the line, just easy meat for the defence. He's a shadow of the guy who could easily run through a brick wall during the 05 finals series

Same, it makes you wonder what happened to him.

I don't think he's been the same player since he had his shoulder re-co after the GF. He was without a doubt the player of the final series for us. I never saw him play any better before or after then he did for that month in the finals. He was incredible

Yeah, that could explain it. Real shame, I thought we had a superstar on our hands after that year. I guess some guys can bounce back from injuries like that, no problem, but others can't.

He was GREAT in the 2005 finals. Our best.

I sat at a table with him the night of the GF and he dead set could barely lift a glass up. His shoulder was absolutely gone.

He just never recovered unfortunately / Was never the same player post operation.

I also think he's been used incorrectly, he's not a battering ram.

Was always at his best with some room to move behind a forward pack that was making plenty of metres.

One dimensional. Suited us with quick play the balls in 05 but not any more with the wrestle in the ruck

Have any of you guys been watching him play this year?
He is bending the line and his defence is strong.
Id rather Deno than Fulton any day of the week.

I must admit I haven't seen any Dogs games this year, glad to hear he is going well.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if he came back in 2013.

So he's having a good season for the first time since 2005 and you want him back?

No thanks.

I would not want him back but will always remember how great he was in the 2005 Finals series. We have better young talent coming through the club than to waste money on signing Dene.
