Dermo Games turn on the mistakes or misreads of players How many times have we been playing well , and Moltzen lets a ball bounce or doesn't catch it and the game turns

I have stated many times if Moltzen played like he did for the 8 games at the back end of last season I don't have issues with him being fullback for the moment

But he is miles from that form and i have the right to bag him for that

When Tedesco is back next season he should be the first fullback chosen , and I'll will repeat what I have said since we signed Anasta "Where will Moltzen play then " ??

I would say that has happened maybe twice, Im not saying that hes only ever dropped or not played at 2 bombs but I would say there has been maybe 2 games where you could point out a Moltzen dropped bomb as a key moment in a game.

And I would like to see Moltzen at 6 next year and Sirro in the backrow, hes to slow to defend at 6 for mine, the bulldogs ripped him to shreds

I would be happy with:

1\. Tedesco
6\. Moltz
7\. Benji
13\. Anasta
12\. Sirronen
11\. Blair

Wow, just imagine if we had had a proper fullback we would have won a lot more!!

What a load.

No one has yet answered my question: i.e. please name a worse fullback currently playing
in the NRL>

I rate him as a fullback, i reckon he is a proper fullback, and when he plays we win more often. I think he is a superior fullback to Wright (Gardnier when fit), whare, Mullaney, and Zillman for this round. I actually prefer him to Minichiello as well. Col you are far from objective on Moltz, you blame him for the warriors loss, IMO ridiculous, and i know if any other player had of been there you would not be making the same calls.

Happy, I reckon there is one game where Moltz cost us the game and that was the Brisbane game, he was poor against Saints, but was far from Robinson Crusoe.
I think he was very good all the way through our winning streak and was great in a losing side against the Roosters, IMO our best.

I think you have decided that you dont like him, and look for his poor points, not his strengths.

I ve heard people saying that Moltz doesnt support the forwards, every time a forwards arms a free and he does not get there blokes blow up at moltz. Billy Slater rarely backs a forward up directly, and instead picks up off the support player. Moltz does this as well, not as well as slater, but he supports

This could be said for 80% of people on this forum, and of those there are only a couple who offer thought out criticisms, rather than just a "Moltzen is a talentless cat"

people keep sugar coating everything on here.. he is criticised for the same thing he was criticised for last year and this year. you can pull out as many stats you like but there are no stats that defy the criticism.

all the fullbacks you named.. you know what? they all have full hearted goes rather than moltzen who sits back and NEVER puts him body on the line. it's his selfish timid attitude that he gets bagged for… come back to me when you have stats to prove otherwise.

3 out of 2 people don't understand fractions…. please don't bring common sense into a molts argument.....

Great stats, I am a Moltzen lover and i think he's going alright but we will never know if Tedesco would have been better because he got injured. Just because you kill it in Toyota cup doesn't mean that you are going to be our saviour in 1st grade. The step from Toyota cup to 1st grade is so huge now that a lot of players take time to find their feet., who's to say that Tedesco isn't one of those players??? we will never know. If we had a better option don't you think that Tim Sheens would use him?? It would be a shame to have Beau at fullback as he is just so much better on the wing. Tom Humble isn't the answer as some of you lovely people on this forum named him TOM FUMBLE. So who do we have left um, let me see TIM MOLTZEN.

Getting a bit carried away, i can't ever remember Tedesco being described that way by anyone. Maybe as a self confessed Moltzen lover your feeling a little threatened by Tedesco

And what was your thoughts on Lui and his actions while he was still here?????
Get off your high horse

I have never said Moltzen is a cat . I have never said he is talentless

Moltzen's best position is 6 and when he wants Benji is arguably one of the top No 6 in the world so we don't need him there

If I have to say it again :brick: If Moltzen can find the form he displayed the last 8 weeks of 2011 you won't hear boo from me

But if every Moltzen lover can be absolutely honest with themselves he is no way even close to that form

And in my opinion (based on many years of playing the position) Tedesco is a born fullback and in 2-3 yeara when we talk about fullbacks (barring injury ) it will be Tim who and we will talk about Teddy the same way we talk about Woods

I agree happytiger but his a good utilty for us next year as long as we resigned him atm we need him fullback too finish our charge to the finals.

He shifts other people to better positions when he plays and doesn't let players like Reddy into the side. That's how I see it
I think people forget Moltzen hasn't dropped a high ball iirc (except for the Panthers game) since round 6 (although costly in that game). People have been going on about it as their main point as to why he has been regarded as dispensable for far too long and with way too much emphasis.

Letting ball ball bounce next to you on a bomb instead of catching it is like a drop he does that a few times

IMHO, Moltzen at FB often did not work. His big asset is speed, but we see it once a blue moon.
He does not contest high ball, and provides very little support in offence. He often looks disinterested, and does not pull his weight. His defence is acceptable, however, most people will remember his attempt to tackle Inu (last year) and nearly identical one of Parra's player (the last game).
My preferred FB is Tedesco, and I agree with some comments here that we shall replace 'like with like', so my pecking order would be: Tedesco, Humble, Meaney, Rudolph, Rowe, Ryan.
I do not see him as our 'utility player' either, IMHO Utai or Iosefa offer much more impact from the bench.
By saying that, I will be more than happy if he gets MOM in every game this season
