Did spencational play?

I can't understand this selection. He looks completely and utterly out of his depth. Of all the players we've debuted, he is by far the least impressive.

He is a training paddock superstar and from all reports a hard worker, top bloke, all around good guy that players and staff root for.

I thought he had a few strong runs early. then a few very ordinary touches.

Same as last week. Better options out there at this stage but i would not write him off.

(desperately needs some size)

Id safely guess he probably did more per minute ratio than a couple of other big names who played 80 & whose combined income would be easily close to a million…but yeh lets bag out a kid - trying his best - in his 3rd game

He's your mate isn't he Ink? I've never seen you like this over a player before. You love putting the boot in usually but there's something different about Spence. What is it exactly?

he should change his name to SPENT cause after 5 minutes he is fully spent

Sums him up all in one.
He is right up there with the Trent Runciman's of the world. Fair dues he is good trainer but needs players that are willing to step up and put their body on the line.
He has had a couple of chances and is just not up to task.
Would rather see Jarrod Farlow or Brendon Santi in the pack.

He has a go

So would I if you gave me a go, doesn't make me any good.

We've got some quality young players coming through. He isn't one of them, plain and simple.

Naah, I reckon you'd sh*t yourself and run away
Bag a kid for having a crack.
You hero.

He might have a go but that is not good enough. He looks stuffed after 5 min. In my opinion, 1st grade is too fast for him.
When he makes a tackle, he struggles to get up fast enough to get back in line. I don't like bagging young blokes starting out but he does not have what it takes to have a 1st grade career unless there is massive improvements in him.
