Did Taylor deserve the right to go out with his best 17

No he didn't. Two reasons. Firstly we got towelled up by the same two teams that did it to us at the back end of last year so obviously our defence hadn't improved greatly.

**Secondly, he didn't pick the best he had available to him in the last couple of weeks anyway.**

Like who?

We played two massive forward packs two weeks running. Both weeks we went in light on the bench. Taylor admitted as much in the presser after the Penrith game, then backed it up the following week by bringing in another small backrower in a Lovett who hadn't played a game. Both games we were hammered through the middle. Sorry but for me that is :crazy

But wasn't Jason's back protected by Ms Go, weren't they all supposed to be best mates and mixed socially?

I don't believe so. Pascoe is the boss and he made the decision he needed to make.

Neither Go or Pascoe pulled the trigger, they were just the messengers - it was the majority Wests board members who dumped him.

Good luck convincing people of that cktiger.

I believe it.
Go and Pascoe were berated because of the way they handled the press conference. It looked obvious to me that they were not on the same page. It was reported that the Magpie board members made the call on sacking Taylor and that Go and Pascoe had to face the media. If Pascoe and Go had of made that call they would have been much better prepared.

No, it was definitely the majority Wests board that made the call.

I don't have a problem with it just the timing. We still look and act like play school compared to how most other clubs do and announce things.

The new coach must be experienced and must be able to make hard decisions and have that same board back him.

I can just picture Cleary saying he only wants to keep Tedesco and Woods then the board over rules him and demands that all the four juniors must stay. THAT would definitely do me.

She might have been rolled.

Or maybe, and its a long shot, but maybe her protecting taylor and them being besties was all just made up crap from members on this forum??? What do you thnk?

He'd probably didnt deserve to go but he had to go. We couldnt just do nothing after that start to the season with better coaches waiting around for a job. Thats footy.

That's a bit of a guess, but not worth worrying aboutAs he s gone( I think not soon enough) but better now than we sink deeper.
There's no reason that Go can't still be friends with him or his family Anyway, I'd be surprised if she didn't vote to keep him.
She certainly looked like she'd rather be at an afternoontea party instead of at the club press conference with Pascoe, missing him maybe???
