Last year we saw BJ lose it, Brooks job Gagai on the chin like he was at Balmain Hoyts during the great depression and Doueihi do something no one remembers to earn a suspension. We've already seen Musgrove beat himself via TKO in 2021.

I got a sort of perverse joy seeing us bring a bit more aggression, but ultimately it cost us. That didn't matter so much in an ordinary season but I hope we control it better this year as we seem to be a year ahead of schedule in terms of our rebuild.

What do others think? Should we rub chilli flakes into BJ's eyes if we are down by 6 at half time? Do we buy Brooks some brass knuckles off Amazon? Or do we need to ask badge what flowers to buy the refs on game day?

Happy for Luke to slip some brass taped down on one leg and sock BJ if he looks like losing control.

Good job forum... fire up!
How good is footy. Little Brooks, who everyone thought was too nice, throws them and most of our forwards for the last decade walk away if a winger threatens them.

Gagai deserved it, was up in Brooks face the whole game..

As for the discipline and everything else, I believe if the team is winning then they won’t need to be angry or annoyed at much.

Also, not justified, but when Luch got tackled hard high and got taken off, that’s when BJ got pissed and went crazy mode, just brotherly things.

But yeah, I believe we’ll be the cheeky type of team this year and blow kisses towards the other teams players 🤪

My only comment on this matter is Brooks did the right thing. Gagai had it coming.

Gagai and Cody walker most punchable faces in NRL

In fact Souffs 1-17 are

Controlled aggression is always the way to go.Make it legal and make it hurt with or without the ball.Never give the agenda driven freaks in pink a reason to penalise us.
I know that is difficult for some in our club to understand but that will win us games, undisciplined players cost us games and always will

If the opportunity with Gagai arises again I hope Brooks grabs the opportunity with Madges blessing

We need the same defence lawyer the Roosters use for JWH at the judiciary. Plays like a thug every week yet barely misses a game through suspension. That is the secret right there.

Hartigan and Madge need to find a good young lawyer

Brooks should have been protected by his forwards. Should never have had to thrown anything. That’s the story there.

This thread made me think about the day Big Red threw punches at Scott Logan (Raiders) after being pelted with the football. Different times back then, but anything up to and including this level of standing up for yourself is OK with me.

Anything further and you've lost the plot.

I wouldn't think it's all too hard? Size the guy up and get ready to throw punches, but don't instigate. It's a football arena, nobody is going to blindside you with a crowbar or souvenir katana. At worst you cop a punch or two, but if you are ready, they shouldn't be landing a telling blow. Let him see you are ready to throw down if he fires first. Gladly take 10 mins in the bin to protect yourself and, more importantly, show the opposition you won't be intimidated.

Stiff-arming a bloke of the ball... complete madness. Edwards probably had it coming but there's no respect or defence when it's off the ball like that. That's Danny Williams territory.

It was nothing like that though. It was just stupid. Danny Williams king Mark O'Neill from behind. If BJ had done a hard coat hanger Edwards would have been hurt.
