Discussion Area for Womens Rugby League

Hi Mods /Kul

Is it possible to have an area of discussion for womens Rugby League ??

Especially with today's announcement of a 6 team comp starting next season

And lastly , anyone know if we are considering putting a side in this comp ??
 
Maybe stick the thread in NRL..oh look..

We had a team in the Tasha Gale Cup..
 
Last year they were taking applications for an U18s 9s team. Don’t know if it got of the ground

Well seeing a area would need to be created by Kul or someone else , it would have to start there

Anyway , any chance we will be one of the six or will we lose too many players from the NRL top 30 if we do that :laughing:

The women's team will be stronger next year since Sharon Woods , Michelle Moses and Jane Tedesco have left :laughing:

I've watched women's league in occasion here on the gold coast. If they can get a few teams together, surely Wests can. For what it's worth, women's league is great to watch. Hopefully they can really get it going.

The WNRL started this afternoon. Not a bad crowd in considering crap weather. Game has been pretty good so far, just after half time warriors 10 Roosters 6.
 
Look just my dinasours thoughts on this .
And before you shout me down …... I am not trying to discriminate against women or against the right of women to have their own comp .... or for people to watch or support the concept.
But call me old fashioned but I just can’t watch it. Same as women competing in UFC or rugby or any other high impact (except soccer, hockey etc) sport.
Just turned the TV on to start watching the prep for the semis and caught last few minutes of Women's game on Fox. Young kid gets creamed by some hulking forward ..... makes me sick,
Just not a place in my life for something like that.

Is that a serious post? Was a great game of football and good to watch.
 
Its good for the game…the Origin at NSO a few months back was awesome, I coaught a bit of todays game...it wasnt bad and if women wanna play they should be afforded the opportunity

No argument about that.
Just my read on the concept.
But yes by all means not saying we should not allow women the right to play the game.
Just can’t watch it.
