IMO, he’ll be allowed to play and stay, then most likely won’t ever come here again ?

The guy hasn’t met the criteria of the government of the country to enter and that supersedes Tennis Australia.

Pretty simple isn’t it? Get vaxxed and come back. Simples.

The problems associated with omicron have been travelling at the speed of light,
The emergence of omicron was believe or not only a few weeks ago, and since then the attitude of our govt. towards this variant of concern (VOC) has been like what i would call similar to an Arsonists, it would be like a naive immature child lighting a match and throwing it in to the bush just to see what would happen.

And we can all see now what has happened, a crisis of shortage of food and workers.

But Unbelievably amongst this major crisis our Scomo is still able to spend and dedicate a lot of time to deal with a matter that concerns a tennis player?

Now, i'm certain that if Djokovic was not Djokovic but was one of Scomo's favourite footy players then none of us would have heard so much of this nonsense.

Besides Djokovic winning his case, Scomo knows that if we were to count all of the dec forms which have the wrong boxes ticked, they would be in the thousands and millions.

Scomo wasting precious time, the judge has said Djokovic is not a problem, the judge says we have a food and workers crisis.

Another great post @FinestTigers
Novax apparently knowingly did the wrong thing by 'supposedly' allowing one of his managers to fill out his exemption form.
Yeh righto...what a lot of bull imo.
If the dummy cant take responsibility for filling out the 'important' paperwork and then blaming his manager for the incorrect/untruthful information, that should be enough to have him booted out of Oz.
If someone gets stopped with a bag full of drugs trying to get into Oz and they try the... I didnt pack my bag so I know nothing about the drugs story...sorry but you are in big trouble.
It's called personal responsibility and he has shown us he is a liar and a 'dill brain' imo.

Correct me if I'm wrong but He wasn't gaining any benefit by not declaring that he went to Spain or wherever. Bringing drugs into a country and not declaring that you went to a country (which as far as I'm aware has no restrictions) are not comparable at all.

The disease can kill you so yes, I put him the same boat as a murderer. Should go to gaol at Parklea with Haynesy

Skeletons in the closet, in the form of friendly ones that have arrived under similar circumstances could well be the reason that this has dragged out well past the usual polling of focus groups timeline.

Hard to get any transparency out of this leader since back in his "on water matters" concealment days, but they can only delay some FOI requests of such for so long. Not sure, but a good chance a couple or more of Djokovic's recent hotel mates were victims of Morrison's secrecy in government 8 or more years ago.

There is deception involved in both scenarios

There are about 20 things you tick 'no' to on the form. I can imagine a world class athlete probably visits 10-15 countries a year and fills in many of these. One could argue that it means he shouldn't make a mistake but more likely you just tick 'no' to everything without reading like I do. Again, I don't think he was getting any benefit out of not declaring the trip? No matter who filled it out, it's an oversight, not a reason for deportation.

All that needs to be established is whether he had covid on the 16th or not and whether he met the requirements for medical exemption. If he did, then play on. My personal opinion is that he never had COVID on the 16th and faked it to get the exemption, something that you can never really prove now. If anything, he's just exposed a loophole.

I have tremendous respect for him as an athlete. I've never seen anyone push back against adversity like him. There is something superhuman about him. That being said, his stance on vaccinations and this fake nice guy persona makes me really hate him as a person.

Have you had your booster Col?

From what I know, previously having COVID (within 90 days of travel) exempts you from having to do a PCR test, not exempt from vaccination. If you're unvaccinated, but have been granted a visa, you must go into 14 day mandatory isolation.

Not sure why the visa was cancelled though. Maybe the 14 day isolation is only for residents of the country and not for non-residents.

There are so many cases that garner media attention that get preferential treatment though

The guy is a goose and I have no respect for him in any way.

Didn't matter if he had Covid on the 16th or not because in any case he should not have been eligible to play because the cut off date for applications was the 10th.

Surely if he was going to fake having Covid he should have conveniently got it before the 10th and got his application in before that cut off date.

Just another bullshit thing overlooked by Tennis Australia in their desperation to have this wanker playing in their tournament.

Interesting now that there are question marks over the possibility of him breaching Serbian Covid regulations as well as possible breaches pertaining to his entry into Spain which he conveniently failed to declare on his entry documentation into Australia.

There have been a number of questions about his negative and then positive Covid result as well as questions arising now about the digital date stamp regarding this documentation.

There just seem to be so many question marks and anomalies surrounding this whole saga that would see any normal traveler have their Visa cancelled and have them immediately deported as an undesirable and dishonest individual.

I reckon the World Tennis Association and Tennis Australia really need a massive kick up their butts. They should have dealt with this way earlier than this. They should have just mandated they had to be vaccinated and that is the end of it.

This is a disaster and it's incompetence all over the place.

I really hope they grow some kahunas and kick him out of the country and the Australian government all of a sudden stop being such weak pathetic losers. They should kick him out and then give a blasting to all Tennis associations.

Not much of that matters. All that matters is whether there is a Govt policy that replaces vaccination with a previous COVID infection. If there is, there is poor policy making.

As for the government, it looks really bad on their part that if he isn't allowed in the country, why was he granted a visa in the first place? If someone is applying for a visa and they tick the box saying I have a medical exempt from getting the vaccine, surely you enquire more before granting the visa. This will deter the backpackers and migrants who would want to move or travel to Australia.

ScoMo is adamant to the fact that border security is independent to Visa. Yes it is, but for regular Joe's, it's not.

Also did anyone read the transcript of his interrogation? He comes across very professional whereas the officers come across very uninformed.

It all definitely looks bad on Novak's part as his nice guy persona has been exposed for a man who thinks is above the law. But it looks bad on Australia as well.

Also, was very surprised by the WHO saying that vaccine shouldn't be a requirement to enter a country...

The disease can kill you so yes, I put him the same boat as a murderer. Should go to gaol at Parklea with Haynesy

What a ludicrous post. Sums this up...

Ludicrous alright. He does not have the virus, has already had it so antibodies galore. He is tested everyday. So no threat to anybody. Grow a brain before opening your mouth.

Policy: double vaxxed.

Is he double vaxxed? No.

Off you go Novak you knob.
