I could see the players in Sydney wanting to move to Newcastle on less coin
Think about it
Who would want to live in that HOLE
Ahh I'm off to work now in Beautiful Cairns

You'd be joking - Take the "Castle" any day over "a bunch of cans"

Yeah you'd take Happy Rock over a bunch of cans

And we had heaps of ex NRL players living here during the LNG project

Biggest problem with Cairns is, that it is in Queensland.

I for one am glad that dopey Premier you have has kept the border closed Hap.

Should be closed permanently. Lol

Let’s head to W A . Lots of third parties, mining magnates, great home ground. Bit of travel I know but cheaper housing, cheaper cost of living etc.

Another team coming in shortly. A proper discussion should be had don’t you think?

I wouldn't be against it. Home games in Perth would have to start in line with when tv broadcasters want the game to be played in the AEST time zone, but they make that work for NZ Warriors, so I don't see that as being major obstacle.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Ruby Princess say Hi

The Queensland Premier is protecting the lives of us in QLD
Can't say the same about your Premier
I for one am glad she is south of the boarder
Who is running your state anyway

Mate, Gladys is not a Premiers bootlace.

That does not make yours any better.

Anyway that has nothing to do with the Knights, so I'll leave it there.

Because I cannot see how they are spending within it.

Ponga on 1.25mill a year. Frizell just signed on 600k+. Klemmer is not on small coin. Neither is Glasby. And Pearce would not be cheap. Just those 5 would eat up a fair bit of their cap.

Then you consider Guerra wouldn't have been a bargain and I can't imagine they got Brailey or Connor Watson for peanuts. They upgraded Fitzgibbon last year too.

Funnily enough the 'working class' Knights have become like Man City, wealthy overnight and recruiting like mad since their new owners Newcastle Wests took over.

I'm actually happy for them (for the most part) and happy to have my theory disproved. But they really don't seem to have to fight to retain players over money.

One town team, and Newcastle is a growing city. Plenty of third party money available up that way for sure. There's probably McDonald Jones houses popping up all over Huntlee with footy players moving into them.

Doing the old Scotty Prince at the Titans thing?

In the words of Joh Bjelke Peterson "Dont you worry about that".Second most corrupt politician in Australian history only behind Bob Askin

Funny, I was going to say the same thing.

Spot on. Good to see them harnessing all of these advantages to make a competitive team
