Do we ever show heart when we Lose?

Just taking a look at the sharks today, thats a team playing with heart, they got up today but they lose a lot of close games but they always fight to the death even after a loss they play with heart.

it seems with us is, we are either hot or pathetic.. I don't mind if we lose every now and then as we cant win them all but when was the last time we have said we have shown so much heart after a loss?

One would think the coach would get them ready each week and we would win most of our games playing on the on week. this is why i blame the coach not the players its quite simple our problem is mental. 13 players cant always be not switched on or off if its the players fault

Semi final against Dragons last year comes to mind. Loss against the Dogs the effort was there but the effort was lacking. As I said in another post, these blokes are well paid athletes - they shouldn't need a coach to remind them of the importance of every game. When I go to work tomorrow I don't expect my boss to rev me up to do my best work. You guys want to blame Sheens for the players not being motivated? Fair enough if the game plan wasn't up to speed but it's a cop out to say Sheens needs to get players on six figures to be mentally ready to play.

Fact is, pretty much every team has bad performances especially with players out injured. Even the Dragons lost to Cronulla. Storm went down to Canberra today, Brisbane were lousy on Friday.

apart from the souths 50-10 loss last year we showed fight and spirit in pretty much all other matches. the 34-30 loss imho was a joke, as we lost off a MASSIVE forward pass to end the game - (pretty much in the same spot marshall got called for the foward pass to utai on saturday night, but jeez there was a big difference)

even the loss to the dragons 34-10 during the season 2010 was not without fight and spirit.

If you want to see a heartless, Soul-less efforts, go watch the last three games of the year in each 07, and 08.
(particularly 2007)

Other than the first half on saturday night weve tried hard but just not been good enough.

The Roosters and Titans losses weve tried hard, but it was just the usual problems that let us down

1) Very poor kicking game
2) Forwards not making alot of metres
3) Lack of ability to create in the outside backs

Mate…that Titans game, there wasn't heart in it at all. Don't know if it was the away trip, thought they had it in the bag after 15 minutes, but even the 3 points you've suggested can all be attributed to not playing with passion.

3 performances this year already where we haven't played as passionate as I think we can, which is really worrying. Last year we didn't lose alot of games, but we had some performances where heart definitely didn't seem to be showing (Canberra 1st half 1st game, Sharks at Leicchardt, SOUTHS!).

I agree, it is something concerning, it has to do with club culture and/or players. Something is going on, we don't know about it, maybe it will be resolved with week, I don't know. I agree though, when the Sharks or the Titans lose, you'd never feel empty as a fan like we seem to be when we lose.

Funny thing was as an old Balmain supporter we used to always lose with tonnes of heart (and lose regularly). Seems to have swung the other way.
