Do you enjoy Rugby League?

I think the game has gone to poo and only watch it because of the love for the Tigers.

The over complicated rules, tragic refereeing and blatant bias towards teams who are expected to win has me hating the game.

No doubt I'll turn up next week to watch. ..but I'm honestly not sure how much longer I can put up with the NRL.

I have already started to try and convince my kids to play something else and I think that is very significant.

I hate all of the rule changes and extra time. A draw after 80 mins is a draw. Don't enjoy RL anywhere near as much as I did 15-20 years ago.

I'm enjoying it less & less , then add Wests Tigers into the equation :unamused:

I don't blame the refs. I agree with Gus, it isn't their fault, it's the processes the powers at be have implemented. It's embarrassing.

There are a lot of things i could complain about but this one is the thing turning me off the most. Its not just a Tigers thing its in most games.

Timeline wise the lack of interest dates back to the formation of the new independent commission and the removal of David Gallop. It's no longer a level playing field.

Rugby League has become so boring. Too many on field and video referees often coming up with the wrong judgement and completely turning the outcome of the game. Most coaches are far too frightened in instructing their team to play open attacking football in the same vein of the Wests Tigers of 2004 - 2006\. The result is a stilted boring game which goes like this;
Team A catches a kick on their 10 metre mark and work up to the fifth tackle on the hallway mark where they proceed to kick Team B who catch the ball on their 10 metre mark and repeat as for Team A strategy as infinitum.

A comparison of the NRL crowd numbers as compared to AFL crowd numbers tells the real story.

Still love it Sirro…but the inconsistency is becoming very frustrating....

Yes true. I certainly found the game more enjoyable 10+ years ago. Way too frustrating to watch at the moment.

It used to be a great product and is now being destroyed by those running the game.

It's bad enough losing, worse feeling that we weren't given a fair chance and it hasn't just been this game or even this team.

I can't recall the last time a team was penalised for being inside the 10….....the line speed of some teams is certainly questionable.

Are we not playing to the current interpretations maybe?

still love it but ref inconsistencies could be improved.

watch as many games as possible, have the livestream running all weekend if im home

youd never of seen tries like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQGFOUYB0PI&feature=youtu.be

Thanks, saves me having to say it.

One other thing on Gallop was integrity. Can anyone honestly say that they trust Grant and Smith.

so get back gallop who did nothing for the NRL, meanwhile this new commission has literally doubled revenue in a few years, set aside hundreds of millions in a future fund, secured a billion dollars for rectangle stadia in sydney and is effectively negotiating a $2 billion TV deal for 2018

and gallop has done what for the a league??? they were 'coming in leaps and bounds' well before he got there, he's just continuing that trend. good on him for not screwing it up

Yes and No

Its good we are competitive most weeks

As an old Westie we were rarely competitive

No matter which way we seem to turn as a club it seems the wrong direction

I have been critical of a few of your posts in recent times but this is exactly how I feel. I reckon you address all the issues that are driving me away from league. With the possible exception of our apparent game plan for each match - hit it up for five and put up a bomb. If that is the 'structure' Taylor has been working on since Parramatta days then leave me out of it.

I'm almost at the point that I was at 10 years ago when the Tigers were getting [This word has been automatically removed]ed hard by stupid refereeing like those two golden point losses against Canberra in 2006\. The point where wasn't far off just refusing to watch the game at all. I live far from Sydney and I have a tradition with one of my mates who also lives far away that we make the pilgrimage to watch one live Tigers match a year. I'm having second thoughts about bothering this year.
