Does anyone truly feel a rivalry with the Cows?

I have a personal rivalry with the Roosters but I'd have to agree that there's three bigger rivalries than that, two of which stemming back to Balmain/Canberra and Wests/Manly.

In the new era as the Wests Tigers, Melbourne would be our rivalry. Had many a spiteful encounter and have been on the receiving end of some pretty ordinary incidents, namely Buckets/Williams, Slater/Skando and McCracken/Kearney/Bai.

Its the only history we really have, followed by the Titans considering they took a few of our good players and also attempted to snare Farah.

Maybe if we play in a few more Finals or Grand Finals something clearer will forge ahead?!

Have to say this quietly as a New south Welshman, but I love JT

Love him as a player and particularly when he goes off at the ref, you can almost set your watch by it. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think saints are our biggest rivalry. Two of the greatest semis in the last ten years.

Other than that, I think Souths, Parra and Manly … to be honest just traditional sydney clubs I feel it more.

Next season I reckon our rivalry round will be against Cronulla.

In saying that, surely St. George-Ill are the fiercest rivals for Wests Tigers. The two merged clubs, two massive semi finals, massive fan bases and both clubs wrestling to be the largest Sydney club.

Parramatta, Souths, Canberra and Manly are from the Wests and Balmain days. Good rivalry, but probably better suited to the Heritage rounds. In saying that, St. George-Ill also has a place in the heritage round.

I keep it simple and stress free - I loathe all other clubs - admittedly some more than others.

i definitely don't feel the rivalry with the cows,

I dont like the roosters or doggies, but that has nothing to do with our past

the teams i dislike and like (aside from us of course) change with the players they have and the style they play, currently I like Penrith, Manly, Brisbane and Canberra, not so long ago Canberra and Brisbane were my least favourite teams.

Right now, souths are my least favourite team

Hate is such an ugly word … but I really quite strongly dislike the Dogs, Roosters, Souths (in the Crowe era), Manly (of course), the Bronco's (I have an arrogant QLD mate), Melbourne (Bill Lawry was such a stodgy openning bat), Canberra (OMG that green turns my guts)... arrgghhh but if I'm truthful I quite liked the Steelers until Saints came on board, The Sharks until they started winning, Penrith until the climate change denier Phil got reinvolved, Parra until last weekend ... have I forgotten anyone important ? Think not.

Oh yeah - the Bears always gave me a chuckle ... old blokes getting misty eyed about fig trees and 1922.

Ok, we smashed them in both a finals game and the GF… 6yrs ago... no controversy in it... nothing... fair win.

Just not feeling it... am i alone?

You're not alone. I was at the 2005 Grand Final and most of the Cowboys fans that I saw after the game were being good sports and congratualting us on our win. St. George Illawarra is definately our biggest rival.

There is always spite when we go up and play in Townsville..

Agreed…they genuinely do not like us.

Ofcourse they don't like us! They are Queenslanders! They don't like anyone unless you are a redneck bogan!

Thats more the way I feel too…if anything, I respect the Cowboys

No not really against the Cowboys, I would have thought the rabbits, roosters or Parramatta, as for a QLD team it would have to be Brisbane, there is no better feeling thab beating them at their home ground and travelling back to your accommodation with a train full of them, crying.

Alot of the clashes are based on heritage round match ups. I.e roosters v souths or broncos v titans
