In my opinion nofa is not quite at the standard of origin player. However less talented wingers than him have been picked in the past, Steve Turner and Chris Walker to name but 2 off the top of my head.
the reasoning behind Turners baffling selection from memory was that nsw coach and selectors at the time (bellamy, daley, fulton) thought his inside knowlege of Greg Inglis' game as his club team mate would give him an edge marking up against him on the wing…... the mismatch was every bit as spectacular and hilarious/horrifying as you would expect.
It's actually even more baffling all these years on to think about that one. A player lacking in talent, speed and strength, selected specifically to mark up against a player with all 3 of those traits in abundance...
