Does the club still have issues?

It's just the rugby league soap opera and we are battling to get off the bottom of the food chain.

From my perspective the club is doing what It should have done back in 2016/17. If you give into agents like Isaac Moses they just screw you regardless. The club would have leaked and broken up internally by now with the old board and Justin Pascoe at the helm.

If we stay united as a club and stand behind Richo, agents such as Moses will know not to agitative for early releases because they know they won't get them. Isaac Moses is pulling out his big guns on this now, but he only has a few media cycles left up his sleeves before the circus moves on.
Moses will send Galvin broke this year with legal fees ,I would keep this going with solicitors for a few weeks just so Galvin gets a nice $ 50 k bill and a kick in the arse

He begged us for a contract.
Club was keen but there was push back from the fans, saying, we don't want him, he's a grub, etc.
So the club never went through with it.

NRLs most hated cuzzz.
It wasn’t the fans that stopped us signing Willy it was our sponsor at the time , he said no and we buckled , guy lived out back of erskine park and was a dick head

it was both - the fans and the sponsors … who says they were wrong ? At the time, he was 32 yr old loudmouth hasbeen with a ton of baggage

You make some good points …I have felt some unease with what we have read about some of the player exits …. We have heard many times that the Bulldogs turned over their entire squad in a year or something… and seemed to with minimal fuss ( with 1 exception) … what methods are they using that is different to ours ?

However , I note Faagatu remains a free agent months after being moved on … so none of the other 16 clubs want him on a development deal either let alone in their Top 30 ? I suspect the same fate is in store for Matamua and Tumeth who have been big failures … the questions need to be asked why were these three players signed to these Top 30 deals for several years … it’s easy to blame Pascoe , but I assume others at the club were making the case to him .. let’s hope they have been moved on now with him
Sheens made some sweeping statements that raised the level of expectation - he may have got it wrong.

You think Tumeth and Matamua should be playing first grade?
The Tigers can play them wherever they want during his term here.

It has been alleged that they are being "forced out" of the club. If the feedback they've been given is that "if you don't move away, we will keep you in 3rd grade/4th grade" or that we are stalling their development, then it can be a problem.

I hope Tigers haven't done that.

I reckon we are in great hands, and all the opinion's a force of habit thing. A bit like in the simpsons when Marge yells out “BART nooooooo!” And he’s right next to her. Then she says “Lisa noooo” I just think people like to bring this club down cause they are used to this shit that has come out of it previously.

No, but in saying that we still do not have a 13 that can play before the line and create space for our halves ala Yeo at the Panthers.
We supposedly planned to have Jack Bird play that role, but it hasn’t happened, why not ?
Matamua has his faults, but has shown he can play before the line and create space for his halves, he was in our plans during the trials then after 1 or 2 rounds he was banished to Ron Massey Cup.
It was obviously a ploy by our club to try and make him leave and free up a top 30 position, but in saying that we still have top 30 positions available, but have signed nobody ?
Even on a bad day Matamua is better than the majority of our current NSW Cup forwards. I see he’s been recalled at 5/8 this week which is not his position, so he’s more or less been set up to fail yet again, why ?
Tumeth has barely been sighted since 2023 after both he and Matamua played for a NSW u/19’s team that beat Qld convincingly in 2022.
He scored 7 tries in his first 12 games playing NSW Cup as a 19/20y.o therefore it is baffling as to how he has fallen off a cliff so badly since ?
So like Matamua they are obviously playing him down in Sydney Shield, hoping to force him to leave and free up a top 30 spot.
Last season it was the same story with Chris Faagatu who was made to play mainly Ron Massey Cup despite having a top 30 contract with us for 2025, he has since departed the club and not been seen since.
So the point I’m making is it looks like we are using dirty tactics to force players out, rather than handle it moralistically and I don’t see this happening at any other NRL club.
When Gus Gould was asked about this last night on 360 his facial expression said it all.
Don’t you think the team should be picked on form and not by if a player has a bigger contract than others, Before Sullivan was lent to Souths he is on more money than L.Galvin but Galvin has shown better form and deserves being in the team in front of Sullivan.
We are not the only club that have higher $ contracted players and top 30 squad members playing in lower grades.
I’m guessing these players aren’t screaming to be released out of their contracts because they wouldn’t be earning the same wage anywhere else.
It’s not bullying or mistreatment it’s life.

I think the bullying claims deserves its own thread.

From what is alleged, my understanding is that the Club has signed players to bigger contracts and is now regretting it. Since they want the players to move on now, they are playing them in reserve grade so that they will be unhappy and move on rather than serving out their contract.

I have no idea if it's true or not, but that is equivalent of the Club not doing the right thing ethically. We shouldn't be stopping a player's growth so they can be pushed out.

I hope it's not true and something that should be discussed away from Galvin.
It's not true!

The individual journos at both Fairfax and News Ltd who are doing all the PR work for Moses are the very same journos who enjoyed regular long lunches with Hagipentelis/Pascoe and the subsequent leaked exclusives prior to their demise - it is not a coincidence!

You sidestepped my question...

The allegations are BS...The tigers have stated theyre not making any claims whatsoever...not running to the RLPA

WTs cant keep them anywhere now theyve been demoted below KOE Cup...theyre free agents if they can find some interest....but....

RLPA is involved. RLPA said they have had a chat with the Tigers.
A legal notice was served to the Tigers
The allegations may be BS but we are being investigated for it.

It doesn't matter what you or I think where they should be playing, the fact is if they or their manager feels like the players have been mistreated.

My original point was that, this deserves its own thread, it's not part of Lachlan Galvin.

I saw the RLPA statement and i think it did mention players plural...im guessing theyve taken that action due to the BS article...surely WTs wouldnt issue a statement saying its all false if there was something to it all.

Players get dropped all the time...Dom Young $500k playing reggies this week...i wonder who his manager is
The media has a lot to answer for

The complaint as I understand it was made by Isaac Moses to the RPLA and not from the two players that were originally stated in the media.

If he had genuine concerns about players welfare why did he wait till now to make a complaint?
Ask yourself that and see if you can come up with an answer.

Interesting quote from Richo today in the DT:

“This year we’ve had challenges and they’ve all been with Isaac Moses’ clients."

List of Moses clients who have recently departed - Klemmer, Bateman & Faagutu; set to depart - Galvin, Tumeth; and, we haven't heard anything about since being announced in Magpies Cup '25 squad - Cayne Nicholas.

Exactly. Moses lodged the complaint cause maybe if that is accurate - it's sounds like it's more about Moses than Galvin. However the damage has been done. To his brand.

Ive said it before we are ridding ourselves of his clients...best thing for all concerned even if it limits us in potential new recruits

Isaac or whoever raised the complaint may feel that there is past behaviour with Klem/Bateman and now these 3 young players that we have "mistreated". None of it would need to be proven in court but I guess Isaac just needs to prove enough to show Richo that there is something done that was wrong so he can get his way.

It doesn't help that RLPA boss Newton is also managed by Moses.

No club wants to go through a media trial. Isaac knows it and will keep dragging it through media until he gets what he wants. If you look hard enough, everyone has skeletons in their closet. Bulldogs are going through their own thing like that with Topine

Funny enough, the person who is representing Bulldogs Arhur Moses is the one who has issued the legal notice against us.

It's all quite twisted and worthy of a discussion of its own.

If that is not a conflict of interest I don't know what is.
