Yeah i remember him Sataris There's a wrestling producing family , the Rhodes clan

I still think one of the best books I have read in the last ten years Was Mick Foley's Autobiography

If you ever want to learn about how to make it to the top of wrestling from the absolute bottom this is the book to read

Had Chris Benoit not killed his family, this wouldn't have even happened. It's a token gesture.

It was brought in when Eddie Guerrero died, but after Benoit they actually made a decent effort to enforce it. For me the company is going down hill because of a lack of creativity (Cena has been on the top for what, 6 years now? Austin was really only the man for half of that) and an inability to finish off the good stories they start.

Fun fact about the WWE drug testing. When Scott Steiner was with the WWE they asked him to come in for a drug test. His response was something along the lines of "Cool, just send Triple H* around in a limo and we'll go and take ours together." He was never asked to take another test.

*for those who don't follow it, Triple H was the biggest star in the company and Vince McMahon's son in law.

Anybody remember Goldust?

"Shattered Dreams" had to be amongst the best finishers

Golddust, yes the bloke in the gold lycra suit, put on a good show.

Speaking of wrestling memories I'd be surprised if anyone remembers TEX Mackenzie???????

It's just not the same since the Monday night wars. Competition between the two companies ensured that the storylines were good. Both promotions had good talent but as soon as it was all under the one banner, it went to rubbish very quickly.

Was watching the Simpsons on Saturday morning and walked away from the television for five minutes and when I'd come back the WWE was on. I hardly recognised anyone, and it looks as though all they do is stand around and talk smack now. Do they even wrestle anymore or is it a steriod-fuelled soapie?

The WWE has shifted to bringing their A-Game in terms of actual wrestling now to PPV's only - most TV matches are just that - TV matches designed to move the storyline alone, and are generally throwaway.

Occasionally you get two competitors such as Daniel Bryan and CM Punk Wrestle the house down "for free" (i.e on TV) but most of the better quality matches and payoffs are left for the PPV events.

I stress to you and much to my dismay sometimes "MOST" of the payoffs. Nothing worse than shelling out for a PPV for it to be nothing more than storyline enhancer…

Shrewd business from Vince. Give the fans a free dumbed down product and then save the good stuff for the pay matches. People are already paying to see it by purchasing Pay TV. Ingrates.
