Hmmm, we'd probably have to lose the other half of the team to sign him!
On a less cynical note if we end up getting Dugan and Blair then its worth losing everyone who's been rumoured to be leaving. Those two would give us a very very strong side.

It doesnt make alot of sense that Canberra would let Dugan go. I mean who lets a gun player out of the last year of there contract other than us (Fifita). As well as that, wouldnt you think Canberra would let go of some other overpaid players like Tongue and Orford first if possible??
And I think Canberra are paying him 500K a year or somthing arent they, meaning wed have to really at least equal the offer meaning wed now have Marshall, Farah, Blair and Dugan on huge money, with the likes of Ellis, Tuquiri, Lawrence, Heighno on decent packages as well.
The other thing that shocks me is given Dugan is one of the best players in the NRL, wouldnt there be more of a media beat up if Dugan was talking to other clus. And wouldnt there be a bit more interest outside us and the Roosters?
The only thing I can think of which makes it even slightly true is that maybe Dugan wants to play for a decent club (and for some reason thinks we are?) and also maybe Sheens did the old "ill push for you in the kangeroos squad" , which I think he may have done for old Lote.

Maybe Sheensy is adopting the Storms policy and actually spending cap in important positions for a change? I would be ever so pleased if we landed Dugan.

No way in the world would we get Dugan, as we couldnt offer him the money he wants & still be under the cap. :deadhorse:

Either way Gibbs, Heighno, Moltzen, McKinnon, Payten, Fifita for Dugan, Blair… I really wouldn't be that perturbed. But I would say that we would definitely have room.
Heighington and Moltzen alone would cover Dugan's contract requirements. The rest would cover Blair's, some young players from other clubs and upgrades.
I think the Tigers are about to leave egg on a lot of our faces.
