@ said:How could this possibly happen? The Bulldogs have spent a total of $5 million of their cap on 9 contracted players (including Woods and Foran). If they somehow manage to sign Dugan, the NRL is kidding themselves. They should be shedding players, not signing marquees! Either way, if he resigns with the Dragons we snag Milne and maybe Packer, if he signs with the Dogs we have a chance to snag someone decent like Josh Jackson (which I have been wishing for a while now, ever since I heard about the Dogs' cap situatuation).

There's going to have to be massive movement at Dogs in the next few weeks for any of this stuff to happen.
Tigers have loads of players off contract, our three highest profile players moving on, hence we can afford high-priced talent, we sign moderately-priced Matulino and Reynolds.
Dogs have next to nobody off contract except Lichaa and Reynolds, but they manage to sign Woods, Foran and Dugan? No way. They are going to have to shed a bucket of players but I don't see that anybody wants the players they want to be rid of.

@ said:I'd honestly take Hoppa over Dugan. I thought we were happy that weak minded players were walking out on the club. Dugan could captain/coach a team with no heart.
@ said:Dugan is staying at the Dragons 850k 3 years will be done next week.
@ said:If Bulldogs can't get rid of their excess players by the start of 2018 season a fine would be the worst penalty they would receive. Maybe they would be quite willing to take a fine if it means keeping Foran, Woods and Dugan.

That's not it at all. The NRL won't register the contracts in the first place.

That will be good for getting Milne, I rate him Milne too.
@ said:If dogs sign Dugan surely we can snatch J.Jackson. I'd prefer him over Packer!
