They only charged him to take the heat away from the fact they put it on report,no way known it should should have been reported

Well it was a swinging arm with a closed fist that got him right on the Snoz, like our guys he took his time to get up from the tackle to ensure it was looked at and there was plenty of claret which meant that Simon didn't miss him, no malice in the tackle just unfortunate that he made contact, hope Simon doesn't gain an unwarrented reputation.

Dwyer avoids ban over high tackle charge

Wests Tigers forward Simon Dwyer will be skating on thin ice in Saturday's NRL finals blockbuster against St George Illawarra after entering an early guilty plea to a high tackle charge.

**Dwyer will take 56 carry-over points into the ANZ Stadium preliminary final following a grade one careless high tackle charge on Canberra's Joe Picker.**

The charge came a week after he avoided any action over a tackle which left Sydney Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves concussed.

While Dwyer is free to play this week, any charge arising out of the clash with the Dragons would endanger the hard-hitting benchman's involvement in the grand final if the Tigers win.
