I think Madge is being honest about NQL. It’s going to be a 3 team swap. DWZ to the Tigers, Peachey on compassionate grounds to Penrith and Mbye on compassionate grounds back home to the Gold Coast. He’s from Noosa if I’m correct and Kevin Walters is taking over after origin and meninges likes Mbye.

Whilst not ideal for us, it at least gets one long term high contract of the books, I like Grub and think he is a better option for us than Benji, I just wish his body would stay together, same as Mataulino, but Packer is just sooking and taking money for jam.

@vlad Though if they are in Brisbane Manly is still a lot closer to home. It's a drive to visit family and friends instead of a plane trip. Similar to Noosa and the Gold Coast if you are currently in Sydney!

I hope it doesn't end the same, I said when the Tui signing was dragging out, "we should walk away, he is not worth the effort." There were quite a few who gave it to me about that comment


I loved the Tui signing gave all fat blokes a hope they could play NRL fullback.

Sometimes it's not about your preference of who you lose, it's about who will take the players on. You can't rid yourself of a player nobody wants!

? That’s why I think Mbye, ET are the most likely. We will have to subsidise Matulino, Packer, Reynolds, McQueen etc.

A logical move would be Reynolds to the UK to play on softer grounds to extend his career. I have an lot of time for Josh and it is unfortunate for him.

It seems to be a real problem. I'm OK with keeping McQueen and even Matulino. Packer and Reynolds are the real problem, taking up over 1 million a year.
I can't see Packer wanting to play out his career in reggies, but he may not have any choice unless the cold winds of England appeal to him. But there is the problem with his family in all of this. Doesn't he have a child with special needs? Also, his conviction and gaol time might mean that he wouldn't be granted a visa anyway.
Reynolds, on the other hand, may put his hand up and agree to head over there. We can but hope. Otherwise, it's going to be a VERY long couple of years coming up.

We don’t have to slash and burn everything ..... just need DWZ signed along with a quality prop, centre and wing 3/4.
Only then will the side improve.
But I think we won’t fully achieve that until start of next season.

He's useless but we kind of need him at the moment.

I agree we need better personnel ......but at least 3 games from 12 the team hasn't shown up mentally

We've had the same issue under every coach we have had ......and I can't remember one of these coaches having a Bellamy moment and put the entire squad on notice

You put our squad on notice - you have to pick reserve graders the next week when they arent up to it
