Dylan Walker on outer

If the club is deadset on building for the future walker fits the bill.

1\. Centre is probably our weakest position. Imagine a long term centre pairing of Simona and Walker. Would be in the top 4 defensive and attacking centre pairs in the comp easy.

2\. There is no way our cap could still be terrible. We have let go Richards, Moltzen, Taupau, Galloway, Lodge, Lulia, Blair, plus others. You would be talking at a conservative guess $1.5 million worth of cap has been released.

3\. We have replaced the released players with fringe first grade players and U20s players. None of these players would be on more then minimum first grade contracts if not second teir/NSW cup contracts so it would not effect the top 25 salary cap. The only exception would be Ballin but by all report's Manly are paying the vast majority of his contract and we are paying nothing really.

4\. Souths have today confirmed walker is free to negotiate. They would pay half his contract. It is reported he is on $500k. We could potentially get an Australian centre for $250k and fix a position we have struggled in for so long.

I just wish the club would get serious and sign some proven player's. Yes there is nothing wrong with signing potential but potential is just that. Unproven!

Where did Souths confirm he is free to negotiate? I can't find anything official

This alone will tell all if Mr Meriton is interested in TPA"s after moving on from sponsorship…this signing is possible if he is serious about supporting the Tigers. There is no reason why a player of his calibre would not come to the club IMO ..this rubbish of the club being a mess is just that rubbish .So the club wanted to move a long term player on BIG DEAL happens all the time, it is not the clubs fault that the particular player is a sook . Time for the real money to show itself or is it just all talk, come on down Dylan you will not be disappointed!

I don't think Souths will be wanting to pay half his contract. They have to clear some massive space to accommodate Burgess. I'm sure some cub will offer at least $400k, if not the full price.

I just don't get how manly after all their buys and cronulla remember Maloney and Townsend can fit these type of players in with Gallen, Graham, Lewis, Ennis and Fifita on good coin.

Apparently been granted a release to join Manly.
I don't understand Manly's salary cap, they couldn't afford to resign DCE so let him go, then all of a sudden they could re-sign and had money left over for Nate Myles, Martin Taupau, Lewis Brown, Api Koroisau and Dylan Walker.
I know they had Foran go but it definitely doesn't add up given DCE's backflip.

They do it with TPAs..Mr Meriton has obviously given the Tigers the flick and no more money ….I stated earlier this could of been a go if he TPAs were gong to come from Meriton,so the Tigers are on there own it seems.
