Wests Tigers are set to welcome back five-eighth Adam Doueihi from suspension in Round 2 after the playmaker missed his side's season opener against the Canberra Raiders on Sunday.

Doueihi was sidelined in Round 1 from a charge stemming in the final game of the 2020 season but will return to the side this Sunday as Michael Maguire's men look to bounce back against the top-of-the-table Sydney Roosters.

Having trained the off-season at five-eighth alongside Luke Brooks in the halves, the Balmain junior will likely return in the number six jersey for Sunday's clash, which was worn by versatile utility Moses Mbye against the Raiders.

With Daine Laurie strong again at the back, plenty of eyes will be on the make up of Wests Tigers' spine when announced on Tuesday afternoon

With a hand in both his side's tries and strong form with his two conversion attempts on Sunday, Brooks will bring up his 150th game in Wests Tigers colours this week — becoming the first halfback in club history to reach the milestone mark.

Despite Zane Musgrove not available from his suspension for another week, Wests Tigers will again have a strong squad of players to choose from this week with Shawn Blore (wrist) and Billy Walters (knee) the only players unavailable.

James Tamou and James Roberts both copped minor knocks against the Raiders, but Maguire confirmed after the match that the pair would be right for Round 2.

few players out in key positions for the chooks. if we can cut the errors out of our game and make a few tweaks to our attacking structures we may well come away with this one.

I’d rather a full strength roosters team. Whenever we play an under strength Roosters we get pummelled.

Was thinking the same. Cut out the errors and we are in this.

Just focus on defence. The growing record of consecutive games allowing more than 26 points is giving me anxiety. What’s it up to 13 games now?

Focus 100% on keeping that D line intact.

I thought our goal line defence was very good last week. a lot of freak tries and poor lapses from Mikaele and Garner who really shouldn't be in first grade. we cut that out and we'll go close. Doueihi back too which will be a massive help for our right side attack.

I’ll be disappointed if Talau and Roberts aren’t the starting centres. Garner should also have a rest if possible.

I agree, I thought we scrambled well and they got a lot of lucky breaks.
I am still pissed with Garners Penalty even though Wighton flopped big time (correct call) and would have to think its his last chance otherwise I would give young Tuki a run off the bench with a very simple game plan for him..
We know we never get the refs on our side so we NEED to hold the ball and have min mistakes to win games.

I’ll be disappointed if they are.

Talau in the second row for Garner anyone?

Definitely wouldn't be against it ay. Talau has something about him imo I think he can be a real standout. I just dont want him getting mbye syndrome and not knowing where he is best/should be playing

Good that Moses has finally been demoted but surely Garner, Leilua and Kepoa are on their last chances. Although judging by that bench I think we will see late changes

1. Daine Laurie 2. David Nofoaluma 3. James Roberts 4. Joseph Leilua 5. Asu Kepaoa 6. Adam Doueihi 7. Luke Brooks 8. James Tamou 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Joe Ofahengaue 11. Luciano Leilua 12. Luke Garner 13. Alex Twal
Interchange: 14. Moses Mbye 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Stefano Utoikamanu 17. Tommy Talau 18. Russell Packer 19. Alex Seyfarth 20. Michael Chee-Kam 21. Jock Madden

Would still like to see 3 forwards on our bench?
Unless they thinking TT will cover there?
Has he played in the forwards before?

100% he’s great in attack, he’s only going to get better, he just needs the game time and halves that use him! I don’t think he could start in the back row tho, I don’t think he’s a hard hitting defender, but could be lethal in attack. I think we will see him go back to center permanently next season.
