Eastwood is an unfit slow slug. Can't see any position where he can make a decent contribution. To slow to play on the edges and capable of playing about 8 decent minutes in the middle.
If we are looking to pay decent money for players of this caliber then we have a few long seasons ahead

Definitely need SIZE and EXPERIENCE…but they need to be fit enough to stay on the field for a reasonable amount of time.
I cld buy Reynolds for his passion and enthusiasm(which the team needs),but Eastwood and the Lolohea worry me tbh.

I'm guessing Eastwood would be playing from the bench ,as part of the forward rotation. If he is on $350k and the Bulldogs are paying $125 and he smashes out a solid 30 mins as he has been doing the last few years..then it's a good signing. We know he's not going to be around long term and we have some "potential" in the lower grades. He's not going to be on big money At the WTs and if our "potential" forwards want to leave for emotional reasons or whatever, we have a guy that is proven in NRL and if he plays to his best we might even sign him for an extra season. This will be it for Eastwood. It's up him and a no risk signing for the WTs. If he ends up being a fat bludger , he'll play most of the season in State Cup and only be taking 200k out of the WTs top 30 cap. There will be plenty of other players in State Cup taking up more than that. L. Mitchelle, Lolohea ect.

We can't allow the Dogs' cap to get any better. We need to let them feel the strain until they are forced to offload players like Hopoate, Jackson and Graham. By signing Eastwood, we are helping them. Can't we go for someone a little better like CHN? Panthers are going to be over the cap and probably can't resign him if we pay more. I really don't want Eastwood
