At full strength he doesn't play but he was good today, I don't know where the 10 missed tackles stat is coming from I can't find it NRL.com but he did make 29 including 5 x 1 on 1 tackles which was more than anyone else. Sure Lovett makes 30 tackles but never does he dominate. We had a good win let's enjoy it.

Stop using stats to put him down because you dislike him. Sometimes stats don't tell the whole story, and that was evident today.
I thought Joel was one of our best today and made some dominate tackles that slowed the ruck down when we were under pressure. Sure, he may not be FG standard week in, week out. But if he keeps replicating performances like that, many clubs would happily play him in FG. Consistency is an issue, but enjoy the win and be grateful he had a good game.

i think u edwards haters dont watch what he does the reason he has so many missed tackles isbecause hes usally the first one in some of his socalled missed tackles help our defence more tnan some tackles lovett makes as in third man in if u get what i meani.IF u have ever watched edwards in nsw cup he hits just as hard and just as often in that grade.Give the bloke a go

I don't whether he missed ten tackles or not but the ones I saw him make, he hit them like a B Double.

According to the stats Nathan Ross made nearly 200m today, not bad for one of the worst blokes on the park.
I thought Edwards was strong, didn't hit it up much and I didn't notice him miss 10, his involvements that I noticed were covering Brooks (who defended exceptionally well) and stopping players in their tracks. Not his biggest fan but I thought he played well today. The only time I notice Lovett is when he's losing ground each run or letting opposition run past him unchecked.
Happy to keep him on in NSW Cup, he can do a job in first grade if needed (as he showed).

If my mathematics is correct Lovett has played against:Titans,Sharks,Roosters,Dragons and Broncos for a total of 301 minutes.Total running metres 357,tackles 180 with missed tackles 9.
Edwards:Knights ,Broncos,Rabbits,Sharks,Dogs,Storm and Panthers for a total of 326 minutes.Total running metres 238,tackles 172,missed tackles 27.
Clearly the stats lie.We will be lucky to hang on to Edwards.
