They have an advantage in the backs, but our bench absolutely slays that Parra bench. If our starting pack can hold their own without Farah we should be a big chance.
 
At the start of the year I'd have said that Parra team is average. I suppose, good on them for being a better team than their individual parts.

Bench is inferior to ours however, we need to exploit that at about 20 mins when the first subs come on.
 
Good backline, solid but unspectacular forwards - and this is where we need to hit them hard, bend them back and hopefully get some second phase play happening. With Sandow and Hayne they will play a lot more ad-lib footy than us so we also need to show the same good line speed in defence we have had for the past few weeks.
 
Their backline is running hot - Radradra, Sio, Hopoate and Hayne have been a handful. Norman and Sandow are combining well - we'll need to contain them somehow, without some of our best on the paddock. I only hope they get a tad complacent because Farah is missing and Luani and co can surprise them.

They seriously have a bloke named Pauli Pauli in their squad? You'd want to kill your parents wouldn't you lol
 
I really love this years Parramatta side. They are the ultimate underdogs. A team full of rejects, outcasts, guys who were considered has-beens and never-weres led by one of the most brilliant but maligned stars in the game. It's like a damn feel good sports film.

Jarryd Hayne - A star who has struggled with a hopeless side for most of his career (outside a good year a few years back) and his own fame.
Ken Sio - A quiet achiever type who by virtue of having no story fits perfectly here.
Willie Tonga - Well past it.
Will Hopoate - First year back from a Mormon mission.
Semi Radradra - An unheralded island giant.
Corey Norman - Hated by his own fans at the Broncos. Never looked comfortable in the grade.
Chris Sandow - Haunted by his own issues, had been written off.
Tim Mannah - A young captain playing for the memory of his brother who died of cancer.
Nathan Peats - A brilliant young player who could never get a run at his old club.
Fui Fui Moi Moi - One of the true characters of the NRL
Ken Edwards - Back from RL exile after being terminated from two clubs for bad behaviour.
Manu Ma'u - Back from serving prison time on behalf of a violent Auckland street gang.
Joseph Paulo - A brilliant junior RL star who at 26 was starting to look like he'd never quite reach his potential.
Darcy Lussick - A bad mannered big lad who loves to hurt people.
Mitch Allgood - See above but has a funny name.
David Gower - A lower grade star who has never looked like anything in the top grade until now.
Pauli Pauli - A huge young talent and huge young man (he's huge) with the bloody name Pauli Pauli.

Coach - Brad Arthur - A club junior who never made the grade as an NRL player and is one of the few NRL head coaches to ever rise to that level without playing NRL.

Seriously, if they win the comp they need to sell the rights to Hollywood immediately.
 
Yep. Semi is a left winger and Noffa is our right winger so that's the battle there. Noffa is more agile and faster (he's actually VERY fast but still isn't getting kudos for this) but he does fall off tackles. Radradra is huge, strong and pretty clever but he's a Fijian winger and they've all got the same issues in defense. They're both fully capable of making the other look ordinary.

Kicking in behind Semi and Tonga for Noffa and Simona chasing through needs to be attempted from lots of positions because neither of them are very fast and neither turn and chase well. Playing for an overlap to the right side is also going to pay dividends for the same reason. If we play a right sided game we could exploit their lack of speed on that side quite easily. We could well do that too without Farah there who favours taking it to the left. Radradra is huge on confidence and putting a few tries past him could bring his whole game undone.

Tbh I think our fast defensive line will completely nullify Parramatta. A little pressure and the old Parramatta will be back. It wasn't so long ago they got beaten by 50 by a side performing worse than us.

his acceleration is actually terrible. over 20- i would have him behind most of the forwards in our team. over a 100 he could probably kill it.

radradra i feel is no better or worse than koro tbh.
 
Lol try telling the 3 Rabbitohs he ploughed through that he isn't fast off the mark. You're judging him on what you saw in his debut game when he was playing injured. He is not slow off the mark, otherwise he'd be easy to tackle like Lawrence is. Nofoaluma if anything is incredibly quick off the mark.

Radradra is a classic, love to watch him, he appears to have next to no idea what he is doing at any stage, no plan or foresight, but his persistence and natural athleticism come up trumps.

Got a good few mistakes in him for sure, hope we can find them out.
