Eisenhuth commits till 2019..

There is no way either Eiso or Twal are plodders. They came into grade during our putrid season and have been some of the few shining rays of light to come out of it. Theyll be very solid and dependable next year and possibly great the year after. Great finds.

Yep. The turn in form has been largely attributed to the new players coming into the team. We've been competitive even in losing games. It is amazing how much the players that debuted have stood up, at a time when we desperately needed it.

In attack he is a plodder. I suppose this is what I was referring to.
In defense missed tackles is definitely a stat worth noting.
I didn't know how prolific he was. Fair call

Still, he has to prove himself imo

They get over the advantage line and they make their tackles. Our ruck defence has improved since these two started playing.

Twal, a plodder….

Must mean Ava is a toddler.

Twal is great and will only get better

Neither Twal or Eisenhuth hits the line particularly hard. However, both have massive motors and graet leg drive, and therefore make plenty of metres. Definitely not plodders.

100+ metres per game, minimal missed tackles, defensive smarts in the middle - all in their first FT season. Seriously what do some people want from their forwards?

It's like some fans see Taumalolo play and wonder why can't we have 4 x Taumalolo's.

Twal and Eiso are forwards that complement the modern day game plans.
They can go for long minutes, have quick play the balls, minimal errors. Make big meters and tackles. don't get dominated in the ruck, ect.
they aren't speculator or dynamic to watch but really help to build pressure on the opposition.

Twal is under starters orders at present. When he played reggies for Parra he was known for his offload. I think Ivan has given him a very simple job to do and he has been doing well. As for the Huth real worker but also plays first receiver a lot, similar to what ET did when he first arrived and that takes skill. Huth to me has been the best of all the kids

The long pass Eisenhuth put on for Lolohea when they ran it on the 5th for Marsters to score was great..hit him on the chest..I thought it was Brooks but it was Eisenhuth…the guy is a footballer...a plodder he ain't...

I agree Twal just have a simple job at the moment ...the improvement in the middle section of games has been quite noticeable and no co-incidence it's happened with the arrival of these 2 regularly in the team...

I don't think Eiso needs any developing at all over the off-season - I love what he is doing now. I wouldn't get him to change a thing - including his physique. The guy almost plays 80 minutes and doesn't miss a beat. Rarely troubled, always makes his tackles (effectively) and has a beautiful pass. He has stamped his name on the 13 jersey for next year. I'd have him above Lawrence, McQueen, Sue and Taylor. Not bad for a rookie. He has been the stand out good news story of the season (after Cleary signing).

But anyway, Thank you! Can I get a medal?

I think perhaps my original statement comes from my possible misunderstanding of "plodder". "Plodder" is used an awful lot on here; perhaps it's time to re-educate the masses!
Anyone care to shed light on WT Forum interpretation?

Geo we have had more than our fare share over the years, but Jack ticked all the boxes for Plodder of the century. I bet he was a great bloke, but he could out plod anyone

Eiso made 140m+ and made 40+ tackles yesterday. And has been doing that for the past month. As a rookie. Most players with stats like that on a consistent basis are in Origin discussions. Very few players in the league that can match those stats already, and you'd hope with more experience and an off season under his belt he could improve in both attack and defence as he gets more accustomed to the pace and skill of NRL.

Plodder? Wow, not even close. Twal has been outstanding too. Makes more metres than Ava, and is the best defensive prop in the squad too. Think he even led the NRL in tackle efficiency, albeit with 8-10 games not a full season.

I rate Twal higher than Eisenhuth. Eisenhuth is a solid player who gets through work but has little impact. He has a nice pass, but does not break tackles, is not quick and not seen him offload when struggling with defenders.
He does have a strong baseline and hopefully a big upside, but would like to see him work on his size and strength in the offseason

He doesn't bust tackles per se, but he makes yards after contact and bends the defensive line, as well as getting a quick PTB.
He's been hugely impressive for a rookie.

Eiso needs to get stronger he works hard and has a real crack. He needs more impact in attack and defence and gets dominated in the wrestle. Good player for a first year first grader.
