Electric bills

Just WOW.

Haven't watched it all because I have to go out in a minute but saw up to where she talks about reaming money out of the economy.

Reaming is right, as tax payers we are being REAMED ROYALY with all this green lunacy.

Every government subsidy or hand out is open to scamming the system.
Next new round of subsidized solar panels should be out in the next year.

U know that labour have been lying at each election,
1) power bills will be cheaper , solar and wind will be cheaper , what they don’t tell us who’s going to pay , when the solar and wind need replacing in 15 - 20 and where will they bury them .
2) went to the last election saying u only need ur Medicare card , what a lot of crap , we pay $65 to see a doctor
3) but I can’t seem to find any one who voted for these imposters.
All of the above is the truth, but certain groups only vote for labour , god help us if he gets in again

But Morrison's Liberal Part lost by such a HUGE margin, it's unlikely that there'll be a change back at the next election - and Labor knows this!
(This result was described as the Liberal Party's worst election performance since 1946.)

Article in the media about a fortnite ago stated u need to review yr electrical supplier charges every 12 months, because they sneak the charges up once the contract expires, back to what is called the reference rate or thereabouts
I started with Red Energy about 18 months ago at a pricing 17% under the reference rate......rang them unsolicited last week and asked the question as to whether Im on the "best possible pricing" rite now,as the media article suggested I do.....thats the phrase to use
...was indeed on the reference rate..it took one fone call and 10 mins to fix
No brainer
Theyre worse than insurance companies..even make banks look honorable!

I'm not really political, more think they are all lying pricks than a staunch supporter of either party. But:

Most solar panels last closer to 30 years now and the modern ones are about 95% recyclable. Obviously their still currently being produced from materials from 'dirty' mines but the ones being put up now shouldn't need burying and can mostly be remanufactured into the panels of the future. Furthermore as tech improves typically the costs reduce. So the paying in the future should be cheaper as well.
Similar can be said for wind turbines. They are about 80% recyclable whilst new research is being done into blade design to achieve recyclable blades as well. Again their lifecycle is over 30 years and can be as long as 40 years. Not to far off that of a coal power station that has far less recyclable materials and of course typically produces waste products as well.

I see some very valid criticism of the reliance on foreign made technology, particularly when we have all the raw materials in Australia. I dont see any genuine reason to resist the shift to cleaner energy in general.

Don’t know where u got ur info about solar panels and wind mills, they all have toxic material in them and can’t be reused , my mate installs panels, and I think I trust him rather than the government

This is probably a whimsical concept, but I can’t stop wondering what sort of outcome would be achieved by building modern coal fired power stations at numerous strategic locations, closing the old ones, and supplying our modern stations with our own coal?
Surely it would give us at least 5 decades to discover better technology and install a world class national grid?
