Ellis Replacement could be...

Demonborger

..Lawrence, he's lost his topline speed but he hits the line hard and is punishing in defence and getting more and more bulky, should he move into the backrow next year? or wait it out and hope he recovers his speed and ability at centre?

Luke Lewis did a similar move and it worked well for him.

What do we all think?

He is still our best centre at the club by a good margin. Moving him to the backrow wouldn't offer a whole lot more to the side.

The comparison to Lewis is pretty good though. Although I don't know how big Lawrence will end up. Still about 10kgs between them both.

I seeit demon and you're not the first to mention it. He's built for it but like others, I think it's only viable if we can backfill him at centre. Our backs aren't exactly on fire at the moment so it could just be filling one position at he expense of another. Also, I think we haven't recruited right to allow the move.

No, dislike the idea very much, he has been playing with a dodgy shoulder and hamstring all year, to move him closer in means that's more physical effort and demand placed on that hammy and shoulder… It would finish him

Ellis 's replacement isn't at the club at the moment

Give Lawrence an off season to recover and hopefully we will see his best again

But Lawrence isn't a Ellis , not even close

x2.

I reckon Rowdy would do a very good job in the back row, however, with his string of injuries and the crowd we're going to have in the second row next year (Heighno, Blair, Fulton, Sirro, Thompson, Pettybourne, Anasta) I think it would be a waste

If Lawrence played backrow it wouldn't work. I mean how can he rush up and in going for a big hit when he doesn't have a vital defensive position to leave exposed?

I'd love to see him at lock or fullback but at the same time he is our best centre and I'd probably leave him there.

I think Chris will benefit greatly from the off season where he can get over the injuries he is carrying, he is playing wounded @ the moment.
