Was great today, and we needed him too. His defence was great, made some big runs and got some offloads away, the only forward that really stood up today.

What impressed me about him today was the leadership. After that no try he lifted in defence and that lifted the team. Other seasons when things don't go our way heads drop
 
Easily our best player today and most of the year. He would relish a bit of semi final footy for sure!!

I said it when we signed him. A couple of years ago when pommies came to here . He just went hard for 80 minutes his endurance and passion was unbeleivable LIKE WHEN RODNEY HOWE WAS ON THE JUICE ! . would love to see the game again aussies made a length of field break a back and Ellis just kept chasing in the 78th minute game was close they stopped him and he had just had a massive game . I kept watching him after that and thought this guy would be a guy i want on my team . Im amazed that someone his size has the endurance to do wat he does and hit like he does and chase all the time to play 80mins in the nrl . thanks GARETH bring over more pommies
 
strongly agree, is he awesome or what.
Still have a feeling sheens has probably told him not to pass?
maybe to settle him into NRL football.. and will get it rolling next year (or later on this season as it seems to be)

is he going to be deadly or what next year?
 
What you have in Ellis is the complete package, great footballer and champion bloke. Their are plenty of players who are champions but not many are champion blokes.

How much better can he be - surely him & Watmough are the best 2nd rowers in the comp. I think Watmough has more ability to bust open a game but Ellis is probably more reliable.

he is hardly making alot of offloads or linebreaks.
just making good solid metres and huge hit ups. Almost like a prop.

just one mans opininon, that the best is still too come.
 
I hope your right - he is playing like a prop when it is required but when we are attacking he is getting out wide.

His game has been awesome though - has there been a better signing in the league this year ?

Did you see his offloads today buddy????? (better and more considered than my old Balmain boy Bronson for the Raiders this year)!

I agree that his best is yet to come - but today was along way towards that!
