Ennis comes up short

Was watching sky news after the game, is Ennis in trouble for something grubby that he did during the game ? 😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth:

Just came in at the end and they were saying something along the lines he stomped on somebody's leg

Didn't notice anything during the game, and his channel 9 fan club certainly did not mention anything.

Ennis was awesome for NSW in defense and this was the first time I actually felt his niggle played a part. He didn't do much in attack but it was my understanding he wasn't supposed to. Ennis didn't play himself out of a jersey. Dean Young, Mark Gasnier, Brett Morris, Jason King are the four to come into question for mine. Farah, Idris, Hayne and Learoyd-Lahrs may come into reckoning.

Gotta agree wih this entirely, but you know the selectors won't make those changes - they are too thick to see it.

Don't know sorry, just heard them say how he does not need it in his game. They were also having a go at his ego at kicking the ball in the 70th minute wondering what Ricky would think.

_Get ready for him to be suspended for a few matches. He stomped on cooper cronks calf muscle.\

Looks like another few losses for our boys._

they also point out another dodgy tactic he uses on the field as well…

Ennis came on and took over from Young: in attack take no more than three predictable steps whilst telegraphing a slow pass to first receiver; in defence flop in as third or maybe second tackler.
But Ennis is better than Young in that he has two knees.
Sticky, is a goose of a coach IMO

Sack Stuart now!! (Yes, I've decided to become the Balmain Bug of State of Origin.)

Well he was coached by 'The Fonz' :wink:

I havent seen the Ennis incident and I'm not sure when Gidley will be right but even if Ennis is suspended I can just see it as:

9\. Young
14\. Gidley

That's it Jazza
Or failing that, we'd see someone like Hayne or Hornby used as the backup.

wait, who am I kidding?
Buderus will be called up!

Agree with your thoughts on Ennis. NSW had a couple of weak links tonight, Ennis was not one of them. I'd definitely retain him for game 2\. I thought Young went alright, I wasn't expecting him to run rings around them, he was solid, nothing more nothing less. I just think Sticky needed to give the bench players a bit more game time.

Nah Bozo will advise Stuart to bring Toovey out of retirement :wink:

R u kidding me a howler of a dropped ball and next to no creativity in attack, he was almost as boring as young in attack. Were u watching the same game?
Did u not see him hide when Scott ran at him which led to the winning try? Scott ran straight at him and he(coward) stepped to the side and grabbed at his jersey, Scott made twenty metres and set up the winning try!!!!!!! Yer made for origin!!!!!! My ass…...
Also did merrin play, another nobody! Please!

not sure of the time but it was a clear stomp on cooper cronks leg unbelievable he thought he could get away with a deliberate act like that in SOO

Plus he put in a terrible kick on the fourth and gave Qld great field position which allowed them to score the winning try.

Have to laugh that a hooker who is "built for origin" doesn't even play the full game…

Exactly. That decision and the reaction by Gould surprised me.

I can understand that Ennis may have more "niggle" to his game than Farah, but he certainly does not exceed Farah in the creative stakes. If starting Young was always Stuart's plan, then he picked the wrong player in Ennis. Ennis is too one dimensional and Farah would have driven the Queensland forwards mad in that interchange role.

**I can tell you now unless Young and Ennis are injured Farah will NEVER be considered for NSW #9…I dont agree with that but it appears that's how the NSW selectors think.!**

Apparently "Built for Origin" constitutes the following:

- Not being able to play for the full 80;
- Taking poor options when you're defending a 2 point lead;
- Grubby acts in general play;
- Punching players on the ground only to cat it behind a prop;
- Schoolboy handling errors;
- Being the second or third man in every tackle;
- Zero impact with ball in hand.

Farah is nothing like this clown and I'm glad for it. I hope Robbie sat in front of the idiot box last night and laughed himself silly at that muppet make an embarrassing spectacle of himself.
