The real grubby mongrels are the likes of Corey Parker, Ryan James etc.
Ennis is a competitive bugger- nothing more.
The Bulldogs would be glad they moved Ennis on to make room for Lichaa!

I disagree with everything written here.

 Ok then.
You reckon the Bulldogs are glad they have Lichaa in their team instead of Ennis? Not a chance, they've made a dud call with that one.

Yeah Lichaa looks a dud. Not too bright that one…

No I disagree they'd be glad :sunglasses:

Ennis is having the last laugh, he'll be in week 3 of the finals whereas Lichaa and the armchair experts here will be watching him run around from the sidelines/lounge room.

So?
Doesn't have anything to do with what we are saying.
He has ruined his own legacy through years of idiot behaviour on the field.
He won't be laughing when his 4 kids grow up and understand what the majority of league fans think of dad.

Look I really enjoy his play to be fair and honest…. At least ya know he's out there having a dig. He's not the most skillful of players at all, however he makes up with his gamesmanship tho and there's nothing wrong with it either.
Its one thing our team really lacks apart from Moses I think. Bryce Gibbs had it to an extent and not to forget Tezza Hill.
The Ennis's of the game are coming to an end really and when they finish up this game will become more and more robotic just wait and see.

Can't believe people are so torn up over a bloody hand clap towards the fans. It is hardly a hanging offence.
He seems like a good bloke who loves his family, I'm sure his kids would be more proud of their dad than some other kids of NRL players would be about theirs that is for sure.
Ricky Stuart loved to make a massive deal about this non-event because it us easier to have a massive sook about this than face questions about his own shortcomings as a person and as a footy coach- not to mention that his team just choked under his coaching in a home semi after leading 12-0\. Well coached Sticky! Grow up indeed…...what a blubberer he is. Hope Penrith shove it up the Raiders on Saturday night, will be interesting to see who Ricky passes the blame to then. Maybe a smiling Penrith ballboy or something.

Good on him, we didn't have a problem when Taupau mocked the Rabbits crowd and i don't mind it when other players do it. Little bit of Banter is always good.

Speak for yourself. Was a grub act from Taupau and it was a grub act from Ennis.

Wake Up…
Raiders crowds are garbage - more than most.
If you were around town or at the game and our players were getting abuse hurled at them for the entire time they were in town and we eventually got up on game day
- You'd applaud our boys giving it back to them!!

I see your point Stryker, that's not what I'm getting at though. My point is that he likely doesn't give a stuff. He doesn't strike me as the sort of bloke who cares what everyone else thinks of him.

I'm far from defending him, I think he's a cheap shot merchant and engages in gamesmanship. He wouldn't have survived if he played in the 80's.

I think that's my problem CB.
When you here him talk on 360 he comes across as a guy with a deep understanding of the game. He has strong opinions, the majority of which I agree with. He has been offered a job with Fox next year and he'll be good because he cares about the sport and watches the matches thereby demonstrating he knows the game.

Then he goes out on the field and performs cheap shots, grubby play and poor sportsmanship and I think he is just a tool. He doesn't use his knowledge and skill to win matches and help the side…he carries on like a bloody idiot and often hampers his team. For reference see every SOO game he has played.

Can't argue with any of that. I just don't get the faux outrage from the media over him mocking a teams celebratory thing that they've had for about five minutes though.

Yeah fair enough.
I'd say Ricky is using it to create a siege mentality for the Penrith game. The poor young Panthers won't enjoy this trip to the nation's capital win , lose or draw.

As for the media….any bandwagon will do. This isn't Mick's first rodeo.

I still reckon the Raiders will be up against it if Hodgson doesn't play. Bulldogs weren't at their best but Penriff are the sort of side that only need to get a look in the game to be destructive.

I never liked Ennis, however looking back on his career once the heat dies down on some of the incidence he has been involved in , I see him being missed.
Like him or loath him (on field) he is a character. Love watching that Parra v Dogs game when Hindmash was running around trying to bash him after something he said in a tackle.

Apart from when Ennis ran into the back of Moylan this season, I cannot recall too much else from him that I would consider grubby play. Annoying, hell yes, but not dirty. Players like that have been a dime a dozen over the years- Steve Carter, Gary Freeman, Benny, Mario, Craig Coleman, Hodges, Peter Jackson, Toovey the list goes on.
I think Queenslanders hold a little bit of special hate for Mick because he hilariously gave good ol' Cammy a pat on the head a few years back. How dare he!
