Ennis set to reject Raiders

I understand veteran players giving up a bit of money to sign elsewhere and chase a grand final…..clearly that is not what influenced Ennis to snub the Raiders for the Sharks.

Iam sure Tede$co Had been sold the line that Sticky was building a new team and he was going to be joined by some other classy signings.

Well Proctor has flicked them, and Ennis and Mansour look very doubtful. Okay he has plenty of money now,but **I wonder why the older and more experience players have decided against the pot of gold….**

The lifestyle maybe? who'd wanna live in Canberra? With Tedes co, he grew up in Camden, the lifestyle isn't that different.

If Tedesco actually believes that the Raiders rebuilding phase is a better opportunity than the Tigers then he deserves to be coached by Ricky. Our club is actually going places.

To be honest I think the Raiders are not far behind us when it comes a potentially bright future. Both club have invested heavily in a successful junior program over the past five years and are now starting to show some promise,Cornish,Vaughn,Lee and Wheighton (excuse my spelling) are all going to be very good footballer. The only trouble they lack a six and a nine and that will hold them back of course they also have the club killer coach in Sticky.

As for Teddy I wonder if he would still sign knowing all the other potential signings have given the Raiders a wide berth

The key to all this though Supercoach, as you pointed out, is the Raiders spine is absolutely woeful. Has to be the worst in the NRL.

I wonder if he/his manager were smart enough to have a get out clause in his contract once Ricky gets punted in the next 12 months or so.

You never know, we could get him back with a smaller price tag..

As someone who lives in Camden and had a girlfriend for 3 yrs in Canberra…. I can tell you that it is extremely different and I wouldn't wish that place on my worst enemy... It's hard to explain, but mentally, Canberra is a very unstable place.... Good luck teddy, 3 yrs down there and you have earnt your money.

The Raiders have always sold themself to the country boy who wanted to avoid the big city and that is why they have to pay massive overs to most big city based players to come to Canberra as it is the exact opposite for them to go to Canberra. I can see why Tedesco coming from Candem way would find Canberra appealing

Congrats to @Josh_Mansour for staying a Panther shows loyalty isn't dead in the game. Great form & may be in the sky blue in couple of weeks

hahaha…everyone except Tede$co has rejected Sticky!....

I wonder if Tede$co is singing the Frank Sinatra song...."regrets I've had a few....I did it my way"....

With Mansour rejecting the Raiders, it just shows that the Raiders have to pay ridiculously over the odds to attract players and their only real hope is through their junior system

Mansour - Resigned with Penriff
Proctor - Resigned with Melbourne
Ennis - Looks set to take less money with Cronulla

Enjoy the "dynasty" that Ricky sold you Teddy!

Cronulla Sharks are set to announce the signing of Bulldog Michael Ennis on a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd year at midday today.
