Enough Is Enough, Tigers Halves Need To Step Up

Interesting video from Rugby League Week.

Ill say nothing but cant wait for all the Rugby League Week is crap comments

I agree. The halves need to step up.

In stating that I still think its our outside backs and JT's structures that need a massive overhaul.

Based on the gameplay I find it hard to single out specific players after the last game. If the halves are responsible for not clearing the ruck with more than one pass fair enough but I doubt that's the case.

Same goes for Siro to a lesser extent. He gets the balls against a set defensive line in no space off one pass with no options around him to create doubt so he's an easy target. He still ran for more meters than tapau and played part of the game in the halves.

More often than not our second rowers get taken in 3 and 4 man tackles while brooks and Moses get isolated by the opposition. The lack of attacking structure isn't doing them any favours.

No doubt we have a weak roster overall but many players are being made to look worse than they are by the tactics being employed which don't play to their strengths.

This x 1,000!

Yes they do…

Pack needs to find it's Mojo again as well...

We have said it before on the forum and we have had many discussions and debates on this topic RLW video confirms what we have said…...

Unleash the halves and let them have ago,we are that far behind at the moment these guys could free all the players up and make good passages of play....it can't bloody hurt for a couple of games, geez just let their talent and potential out for once...

I'm not being negative, but what's the use of having potential superstars who if don't play what's infront of them and are restricted could very well go to another club where they can......that would be end of story.....

Firstly the thread title - Wrong!!!! The forwards need to stand up.

This will give the halves the time and space (also Teddy) to do what they do best.

TT - I usually agree with most of what you say ( and you are entitled to say whatever you like) however I think to let Moses and Brooks run riot for a couple of games would undo all the good work that has already been accomplished. We know what they can do - we do not need for them to show some of it for a couple of weeks just to shore up supporters faith in them.
If you are trying to train a dog to do what you tell it - then after a few weeks of frustrating yourself because it doesn't seem to be working - you let it off the leash for a couple of weeks - Do you think it would be harder or easier to get it to do what you are telling it?
Same thing here….

Patience and tolerance will win the day.

I would like to see them do more BUT if they are playing to the coaches game plan and that's what it looks like to me how can we blame them.YOU CAN'T :bash

And some!

I'm starting to think its not Moses fault. He's trying, but he's not being allowed to play his natural game.

It's not their fault. It's like Shaun Johnson or Albert Kelly sticking to a structure.

I've always found that they respond a lot better when you reward them with a bit of free play after they have responded to that you initially asked of them. Seems to ease the frustration and the next lesson becomes more enjoyable for all involved.

Generally, I agree.

Well, that settles that then, nothing to worry about then
BTY. Is it a specific breed of dog that we are talking about, or just the Bog standard type?
